  • After leaving the pool I used the bathroom as I was leaving. I laid my sunglasses in the handicapped stall on top of the toilet paper dispenser. Of course I forget them. My own stupidity. Upon realizing I left them went to lost and found. No one turned them in. I was upset that I forgot them because I had just purchased them and they were expensive. So I decided to go back to the pool to see if anyone had them on. Of course I didn't see them. Went back into the ladies room because the maid was in there. I asked her if she found any sunglasses and she said she did and layed them on the sink for 10 minutes. I told her I went to lost and found. She said, you did? And she looked embarrassed. Then she goes to the garbage can pulls out the plastic bag reaches in and lo and behold there was my sunglasses. I am sure she hid them there to pick up later. I guess I am lucky she gave them back to me at all. I didn't know where they were. I could tell she was very embarrassed. She had no right to keep them that is why they have lost and found. It just goes to show you in this day and age you cannot trust anyone not even the maids working in a hotel. So sad
  • Southpoint is a fairly nice hotel with a cozy atmosphere. It's very equestrian based and is known to hold a rodeo or two, including the largest one of the valley around December. They have beautiful clean rooms, and the suites generally over look a few suburban streets. Their bowling alley is a wonderful place to go to, especially if you're bored around midnight ($1 midnight games). They have a bar inside and happy hour to compliment a midnight game. If you're hungry after bowling and are still looking to save money, the Coronado cafe serves inexpensive breakfast. They basically cater to night owls who are looking for a good but inexpensive time out with their friends. Pool is also wonderful if anyone gets the chance to go by.
  • The South Point has some great events this week for the Presidential Debate. They really took care of us, gave us a great press area to write in, and the food was delicious. Thank you so much for taking care of us during all the chaos surrounding the elections.
  • Room is great. Lots of variety in entertainment and cuisine. Front desk and room service were quick to answer and act on any request. Beware if tobacco smoke bothers you, it is present in the larger open areas like the casino floor, which you have to walk through after checking in to get to the elevators, as well as any of the restaurants.
  • We have a great time we are going back for sure with our little guy lots to do here. The only problem was the smoking after a while it give you a headache I took a couple of Motrin's and was good to go again better ventilation would be great. But other than that the food is great and bowling was fun. Nice and very clean place and friendly helpful staff. I would of gave it 5 stars it was just the smell of smoke.
