Ruin
Pass through centuries of American history at Pecos National Historic Park. Tour the remains of Indian pueblos, evidence of some 400 years of settlement here by Native Americans, who traded pottery for copper and seashells. Look for the remains of a church built by Spanish explorers, who went on to occupy the area for 200 years. Continue through the park to see the Civil War battlefield where Confederate and Union troops clashed at the Battle of Glorieta Pass. Stop by the visitor's center beforehand to receive maps and a full history on the rich park. Bring plenty of water. Put Pecos National Historic Park into our Las Vegas trip itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Las Vegas.
