Look for the remains of a church built by Spanish explorers, who went on to occupy the area for 200 years. Continue through the park to see the Civil War battlefield where Confederate and Union troops clashed at the Battle of Glorieta Pass. • In the Pecos historic park we told a lot about the settlement and the Pueblo culture. The Park also offers quiet, super views and beautiful picnic areas. When we visited the Park's had little people and we could marvel at the ruins in peace and quiet.

  • Beautiful holy ground. In awe of walking where so many natives to this great land walked! Well worth the time and $7!
  • Holyghost trail is phenomenal bit you might need a higher-clearance car to get there. Lots of potholes on the road.
  • Very well laid out, and a great introduction to some of the local history.
  • Gorgeous camping, fishing, and hiking. There's nothing like hiking a few miles up a mountain and having an ice cold river to wade into.
  • If you love history, this is a must see! The ruins are beautiful!
