Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.

  • The deli has some pretty good fresh sandwiches, chock full of meat, at quite reasonable prices. Mexican food was pretty tasty, too. Arcade games are overpriced. Frozen drinks are priced ridiculously. Charging to park is ludicrous (I don't care if it's free if I do such-can-such, it should always be free). Bridge from parking to casino should be air conditioned. Convenient to get to T-Mobile Arena. Parking garage is nice with indicators to where parking is available. Saves energy with motion detection lights in lot.
  • The staff is very friendly, and helpful. It's an amazing casino, with more than enough bars, restaurants and stores to satisfy all tastes. However, the only drawback is that the hotel rooms do not have a fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. In addition there are no premium cable channels offered, plus the rooms are over due for a remodel. Just basic cable unless you want to pay extra. I'm not certain but they may offer these amenities if you upgrade to a suite. Therefore, I really can't recommend the hotel, and I really wanted to. I mean even the chain suites have those basics. Next time on the strip I'll be moving on up.
  • Is it the nicest or fanciest place on the strip? No, definitely not. But for the price, it's hard to beat. The location is great and you can walk pretty much anywhere on the strip. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. There were decent food choices (Shake Shack!). I'm the kind of person who just needs the room to be clean and doesn't need much else and this fit the bill at a reasonable price. Also, I'm not a gambler so I can't speak to the quality of the casino, but if you just want a central place to crash, this is a great choice.
  • After trying other hotels on the strip, New York-New York is the only hotel I stay at now. The rooms are consistently clean. I have always had great service here with no complaints. Do note that if you are getting a spa suite, you will usually face away from the strip, towards the Tmobile arena. The pool area is nice and you are provided with a free towel to use while you are there. The restaurants inside the hotel are good and you will be entertained by the dueling pianos at the "BAR AT TIMES SQUARE". Overall great clean, classy, hotel with friendly staff.
  • I would give this hotel no stars if I could. We literally just checked in moments ago with a group of 7. Two rooms were reserved with 2 beds in each. We get here, and we come to find out that our rooms are not joined. Ok, no problem. As soon as we get to our rooms, we find only one bed in each room. We all why, and they tell us we were only guaranteed whatever is left, EVEN THOUGH WE RESERVED DOUBLE BED ROOMS!!!! Okay, so we get our roll away beds, but no extra pillows. Oh, and there's barely any room for these beds! I ask for comment cards or surveys at the front desk, and they seemed to not want to help and sent me away. So here I am giving it one star when it should be zero. This is the most beautiful hotel I've been to, but easily the worst because the service is just horrible. As we speak, we are still trying to get them to make it right for us. I've had better service at Motel 6 than here. This was our first time ever in Vegas, and already it's a disaster.
