MGM Grand, Las Vegas

(3.6/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
With more than 2,500 gaming machines and 139 poker and table games, MGM Grand features one of the largest gaming floors in all of Las Vegas. If you don't gamble, you can still derive some entertainment simply watching the extravagantly dressed crowd. An onsite food court features many small restaurants. Note that you'll have to do a lot of extra walking due to the casino's grand scale. In case of an event in the arena, be prepared to be stuck in traffic for a while. • One of the oldest casinos. Their visit is essential. It is curious that they have lions of truth as attraction and casino.

  • I really wasn't all that impressed but we still had a great time while we were here. I don't feel this hotel can compete with the newer themed hotels very well. Isn't bad by any stretch it just doesn't have the same fun factor the others have. Our room and the service was all on par and cannot complain. Would I recommend or stay here again? Yes, definitely but it would be mainly if my options were limited at the time I was looking to book. Enjoy!!
  • West wing rooms leave a bit to be desired. Rather old and dark. Water damage in the bathroom. Grand tower rooms are beautiful. Obviously this is Nevada law but being unable to escape the cigarette smoke walking anywhere near the casino is a big turn off. Restaurants are good but get reservations early if you want a table at a reasonable time on a weekend. Had a maintenance issue which they did fix quickly. Put up your do not disturb sign or housekeeping will bang on your door at 8 AM to come clean even on day of check out. I'll likely try somewhere else next time unless I'm coming for a show at MGM.
  • Kinda ran down, needs refurbished in a lot of places. There is a lot of visible evidence if yesteryear left. For example, an empty rack where there used to be a lot of payphones. Wouldn't be all that bad, but it is also in disrepair - needs patched, painted, etc. Also, the restaurants are either over the top expensive or cost too much for what you get. This is kind of inexcusable when NY, NY right across the street has a Shake Shack.
  • My favorite casino on the strip. I am an M-Life fan and this is my favorite M Life Casino, and the only casino that I will go to on the strip. So many things to do and so large and a beautiful Casino. People are very nice overall and even the slots are looser then others on the strip. Excellent restaurants and a lovely decor of the casino. I also love their large poker room with awesome comfortable seats.
  • I booked a strip view for the last 3 nights of my stay and stuck on the window was a advertisement sticker which obstructed my view which i spent extra money for so now i had a bad view of the strip. Concierge staff were amazing 5 stars for them but phoning down to front desk took forever as did the lifts and check in process. Porters wouldn't help me take my bags up to my room even though i went to the bell desk and had to ask for help still nothing. Casino was good but wouldn't stay there again.
