Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.

  • We enjoyed exploring this shopping area between the Luxor and the Mandalay Bay. It was not busy, it was very bright and open, and some unique shops were there. The couple we went with enjoyed the bamb...  more »

  • I love shopping here lots of neat interesting stores and experiences that you may not find in other places lick the candy store is a small chain of stores found in a few hotels in Las Vegas that offers a unique Glimpse back to the past with some unusual candy options also love the minus 5 Ice Bar
  • More low key and quiet for a Vegas Casino and hotel. Has a tram, makes it nice.
  • Our stay was at the Delano or formerly known as The Hotel. As soon as we arrived I started sneezing and my kids got all stuffy. They pump this powder scented air freshener in the lobby and hallways. It is so strong that the air they pump forced it through the cracks of the doors into our room. We had a similar issue when it was The Hotel, but nowhere near as bad. We left the next day.
  • The shopping is not the best in Vegas but they do have some good food options at reasonable prices
  • Ate at the Mexican place, the burger place, and the pizza place. All delicious. Service was quick and polite at each restaurant. Can't really complain about anything.
