Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.

  • I love the JW Marriott at Resorts of Summerlin. The pool and spa are definitely relaxing places. The outdoor area of the spa is a favorite place I to cool down. The guest room's beds are very comfortable.and, the bathrooms are huge with soak tubs and separate rain showers. Accessible guest rooms feature two bathrooms. Great views are available featuring resort grounds, strip of mountains. Many of the ground floor rooms have private patios. Rooms in hotel are all non-smoking.
  • I have never stayed at the resort. My experiences are solely with the casino and the restaurants. The Rampart Casino is very well-kept if not downright nice however it's not particularly hip. The crowd reminds me of those dropped off at Midwestern Indian casinos. Lots of Walkers and oxygen tanks. If you're looking for a very very very quiet place to go play slot machines the rampart is definitely for you. They have a rather small but nice sports book. If you're looking for Action go to the Red Rock
  • Just like Jerry Seinfeld said, "they know how to take a reservation, but not how to keep it." We booked 4 adults with 2 Queen beds. But when we got there, only a king bed available. 4 adults! We had just driven 9 hours, arrived at 10:30 PM, but not one room with 2 queen beds available in the entire complex. Very disappointing as we dearly enjoyed all previous JW hotels. They are supposed to be 5-star. Unfortunately, not anymore. This never would have happened at the Four Seasons. The front desk manager lady was not helpful at all. It actually seemed like she wanted us to cancel our reservataion and leave. Sadly, we did. My recommendation to everyone is to be careful with this JW Hotel. It does not uphold the standards of other JW Hotels where the guests' satisfaction is paramount.
  • Beautiful 4 star grounds, but 2 star hotel!!! :( Rooms are a throwback to the early 90s. Front desk staff was short and not super helpful. When asking where everything was located they acted as if I should know. Funny since the grounds are huge and I have never stayed here before. Paid a resort fee but still had to pay for high speed internet. Clearly this resort needs to come Into the present. For the cost I would look for a newer, fresher option. This is Vegas a lot to choose from.
  • Amazing resort....every bit of it is so beautifully and tastefully done. Breathtaking views all around and from our room. The pool area, the outdoor jacuzzi, the amazing private beach and all the greenery and land scaping were such a treat to the senses. Just didn't feel like venturing out of the resort. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. Got great service at all the restaurants.Would surely love to go there again:)
