Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.

  • The hotel is quirky with everything you need, great pools and plenty of places to eat. It's too far away from the strip in my opinion having being here now for a week. Most hotels you can walk out and...  more »
  • Although we only played the slots we spent a decent amount if money. And had a heck of a time trying to get a waitress to get us some drinks. At one point I went to the bar myself and asked how much a...  more »
  • We didn't stay here but ate dinner and went to a show. The atmosphere was amazing with hard rock memorabilia everywhere. Looks like it could be a fun place to stay - maybe next time!!  more »

  • I love this place. You can listen to great music, watch the video from that time and feel good about the great music from your favorite bands. The special displays are great fun and interesting to look at up close and personal. Staff there could have been more friendly but the overall appeal was wonderful and shouldn't be missed when you come to Las Vegas. It's a little off the Strip which made it more appealing to me but could have the opposite effect I guess. A must see regardless.
  • This was my second time inside the Hard rock Casino. I met a friend for lunch at the Pink Taco and walked the casino floor. Things looked clean. I loved the decorations and memorabilia. I was impressed by my friends room. The rooms were decorated really well and their view of the pool was awesome. It's unfortunate that the casino is not off Las Vegas Blvd but I don't think it takes away from those wanting to stay there.
  • Stayed at the Hard Rock over the weekend with my husband and some friends and for the most part, we all really enjoyed our stay EXCEPT for the way they handle entrance to the pools. We stayed in the Paradise tower and in order for us to access the pool we had to walk from our tower, past about 6 sets of doors that we could see the pool from, through the casino to the HRH Tower to get access to the pool. It is extremely inconvenient and we heard several people complaining about it, including the security staff that was blocking the doors. This is something that should really be looked at by resort management, its enough to make you not stay here again. Pool facilities are beautiful, just terrible to access and even when we did make it to the pool, we were not waited on by the pool staff even after sitting pool side for several hours. We ended up having to go get our own drinks from the bar. Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable, just need better lighting. It is impossible to see inside of the rooms with all of the lights on, especially if you are trying to get ready to go out at night. TV and the remote only worked when it wanted to. Revamp the pool access and I would be happy to stay here again
  • I didn't stay at this hotel but just came to watch Magic Mike. I liked how it was convenient from the doors to which the taxi drop you off so you don't need to walk forever to find the place. Besides that, the show was great. Definitely funner than thunder from down under and more guys! :) I cannot comment about the rest of the hotel as I did not to anywhere besides the show.
  • Stayed here for the weekend during 115 degree weather. We chose this hotel because it was just a couple blocks away from the Thomas & Macke Center where the NBA Summer league is held every year. Here's the breakdown: Parking - For the most part, parking wasn't an issue. It was free and usually we were able to find a spot close to the elevator. There was one night, though, when we came back and the structure was completely packed because there was a show AND a Kevin Hart meet and greet at the same time. It took us about 30 min to find a spot. Room - The room was pretty standard. Double queen that was spacious and felt clean and updated. The sink in the bathroom had issues draining. But the beds/pillows were comfortable. The AC was decent but I wish it kicked out cooler air since it was such a hot weekend. Even with the AC on full blast it was really quiet and I had to forgo the covers. Staff - We called down for a couple items and received them within 15-20 minutes. Other than that we didn't really interact with the staff. Overall, I really liked staying here. There was a lot more we could have explored at the hotel but didn't have time to. We didn't go to the pool or spend time in the casino for example. We did hear that they shut down their poker room though. If you're looking for a non-strip hotel I definitely recommend this one!
