Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas

4.0
#1 of 9 in Historic Sites in Las Vegas
Experience the vibrant splendor of endless lights and entertainment under a 27 m (90 ft) vaulted canopy at Fremont Street Experience. The pedestrian mall stretches five blocks through downtown Las Vegas, lined with eclectic shops, street performers, and nightly entertainment. Pay a visit to the Neon Museum or take a wild ride on the 12-story Slotzilla zipline. There's a spectacular light and sound show in the evenings, and often a free concert on one of the mall’s two sound stages. While parking along the Strip is free of charge, you must pay a small fee to park at the mall. • If you head down there, make sure you're not just going to simply just "see" Fremont Street, plan to eat, drink, gamble and catch some street shows. It's one big family friendly street party with perf...  more »
  • The sites you see on Freemont Street compare to no other. There were several different bands playing and they were all really great.  more »
  • If you like the festive evenings, go! Lights, music, glitter, the zip line and so many other things, meet in another world. By day, it is super nice too but a lot less festive.

  • Wow, what an incredible place. Such a change from the traditional strip that I know. Loved the old school lights and aesthetics, gave you an idea of a Vegas from the past —very cool. Certainly going to see some odd/unique activities, entertainers and the like during your visit, but that just adds to the experience. The humongous overhead display with the hourly entertainment is pretty incredible, it really draws you into the experience. Didn’t eat while there, but apparently much cheaper than what you’ll find on the strip. Very cool place to see. Highly recommend.
  • Love love love the Fremont experience. Be sure and have your camera with you because it’s like no other experience in Vegas. This is the old part of Vegas and there is a several block long dome of lights. What’s really fun is watching the zip line folks zip all the way through the ceiling area. They look like they’re flying and they definitely look like they’re having fun. Had I not been recovering from a motor vehicle accident I definitely would have wanted that experience for myself. The people that you see they’re showing their talents off and making and living is probably the most interesting part of the atmosphere. That and the light show so have your camera ready and really really enjoy yourself.
  • This is my new favorite part of Vegas. Fremont Street was a solid couple blocks of entertainment and performers. Make sure to have some singles on you and it's worth it to be there after 7:30pm when they turn on the canopy lights. The temperature inside the canopy is very tolerable and there are a good 5 live bands during the evening. There are multiple bars and casinos along the street and there are lots of decent priced food deals. Alcohol felt cheaper here than on the strip to me. I didn't compare exact bills. The general feel of Fremont Street is that it's one big party and everyone is having a great time.
  • Fremont Street was a lot of fun at night. During the day, you can't take a step without being stopped by someone trying to sell you something or put lotion on you. I haven't been in a few years, and was surprised at how different was. At night the stage shows were very good. Some of the entertainers and nose taped off circles we're good, others were just raunchy. But then again it is Vegas.
  • Get ready to have a blast! Bring some patients to weave around all the people. Also, prepare for a lot of smoke smell. Tons of entertainment most of it good too. Not a supreme family experience, however for adults it is a fantastic time. Several rock and roll stages for some great music and even a zipline. Prepare to have fun.
