We came to Chapel of the Bells for our 30th Anniversary Renewal. Booked our evening with Mary, who was very sweet and accommodating. Explained packages well. Just remember, if you want additional pict... read more »

Also the Elvis impersonator could get nothing despite good vocals. Was everything very exposed. The photos and the DVD are also not presentable. The worst, however, was far too high price: 4 times more expensive than previously negotiated! Not really recommended :/show original

There were a number of things that bothered me about getting married here. First of all, I was on a tight budget and had read reviews about being ripped off. I called ahead of time and questioned the employees what my total bill would be. They assured me over the phone that there were indeed no hidden charges and that everything was crystal clear on their pricing. So I payed the $95.00 deposit and made the reservation for the $145.00 service. By the time everything was said and done they rang me up and included several service charges. the simple $145 service ended up costing me a total of $200 plus a $40.00 tip for the reverend. So $240 total. Keep in mind we had fewer than ten guests as well. The tip part got awkward when I didn't have cash and the reverend stood there waiting for us to figure something out while what almost felt like our marriage license was being held hostage. All I can say is be prepared to spend more than what is advertised. I would have been totally fine with this if I was told ahead of time but the fact that I was lied too really peeved me. The other real problem I had was the moment the ceremony was done we both wanted to join our families but instead were rushed right into photos. I couldn't even give my mom a hug. They had our families wait in the back while we did pose after pose. By the time we finished pictures the wedding high had practically faded. Like, just let me be with my family. Photo pricing was as followed: 1 photo for $85. Something like 3 for $200. And for $500 you could have all of them. I will say the dude had a good dslr camera set up and knows how to take a photo but we skipped buying any as we were charged more than what I had initially planned.
My husband and I will celebrate our 50th anniversary on the 16th of April. We were married at Chapel of the Bells. People said it wouldn't work lol. Joke is on them because here we are 50 years later. Thank you so much Chapel of the Bells. Charles and Linda Bradley
