Casino at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas

3.6
#11 of 64 in Casinos in Las Vegas
With more than 2,500 gaming machines and 139 poker and table games, Casino at the MGM Grand features one of the largest gaming floors in all of Las Vegas. If you don't gamble, you can still derive some entertainment simply watching the extravagantly dressed crowd. An onsite food court features many small restaurants. Note that you'll have to do a lot of extra walking due to the casino's grand scale. In case of an event in the arena, be prepared to be stuck in traffic for a while. • The Casino is nice but nothing to escape the pattern of other Las Vegas casinos, still worth a visit.

  • The MGM continues to produce top rated shows and stage major entertainment events. The casino is very large with everything a gambler could dream of. The place is in constant excitement and the staff ...  more »

  • Amazing resort. Really enjoyed being here. Staff is polite and entertains inspire if huge rush. This resort has KA theatre along with a lot of other things. The casino is decent. Checkout was also easy. Self parking facility at the resort was also decent with huge parking space. Lift was not maintained in self parking zone which was disappointing. I'd love to stay here again when I got next time.
  • Absolutely amazing! Everything here was above and beyond my expectations....the food, presentations, atmosphere, etc! The staff was terrific except the hostess; we waited several minutes before being acknowledged, then wasn't even greeted with a smile. No complaints otherwise. Very clean and inviting. The food was delicious! Great variety!
  • Staff was courteous and helpful. Our suite came with a perfect view of the strip, 2 queen size beds and all the modern amenities. Also, the maids kept our suite clean throughout our entire stay. There are several restaurants within the hotel specializing in French, American, and Japanese cuisine. Also. there's a Tapas and Dim Sum restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed our stay @ the MGM and will definitely be returning.
  • This has always been a great hotel. Clean, well furnished, great service and the food...to die for. Better than The Bellagio's restaurant. The in-hotel stores are perfect and the atmosphere is off the chain. The only reason it received 4 stars instead of 5 and I mean the only reason is this: there's some type of room check that was done at least on 2 different occasions and it goes like this. Knock - Knock. Before I can answer the door opens and the person says they're checking the room????? One of the times I was not dressed and I felt intruded upon. What if my former spouse who was with me wasn't dressed and she just walks in. The walk in was right after (not even 5 seconds) after the knock. It was very invasive. Rooms are clean (even under fluorescent lights) Buffet is the best in Vegas. Staff was very helpful, polite and concerned for our comfort. After trying others this is my favorite for class and sophistication as well as comfort.
  • While I have only stayed at this hotel a few times, I can tell you that this mega-building is consistently entertaining, and there are rooms to stay in for every class. I may be a little young to be reviewing a Vegas hotel, but my experiences here were far too enjoyable to ever not write this. If you are satisfying an adult party, there is a diverse and huge casino, and fine dining. For family guests (And others) there are less expensive, but still very luxurious, rooms and activities to make your vacation one not to forget. Not to mention, there is a (again) humongous pool with a long lazy river and hot tubs! Don't waste your time with the other hotels within the vicinity of MGM, because none of them offer what the MGM Grand does. Happy travelling, and make the right choice!

Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.
