  • The room was very clean, traded every day towels and bedding. We asked for non-smoking room and were met. The hotel is in Fremont, which makes it look like you're still partying all night.

  • For the average gambler this casino is just okay, no $5 Black Jack and the slots weren't lose at all. The Hotel itself is Great but plenty of other places to gamble. Freemont casino was much more smal...  more »
  • One of the first casinos in Las Vegas, is located in Downtown, the starting point of Vegas. There's no comparison with the establishments located on the Strip, but I think it's worth the visit in conjunction with the Fremont Street Experience to know the other side of town and enjoy good prices more into account. But knowing what they will find, because they are small, full and with that old odor mixed with cigarette.

  • Definitely a "2-star hotel" as far as the room sizes and amenities, but I still give them 5-stars! The rooms are old, but updated as best as possible without getting rid of the "old time Vegas" feel. Gamble a little bit in their casino and they will send you discount (if not free) rooms. The front desk is great, fast and reliable, nothing more to ask for. The players club is always helpful and informative. The valet is my favorite in Vegas. Even if we are just dropping people off, they are friendly, not rude like other valets. Drink service is fast and consistent. The table games are good, the dealers are fun and interactive. The variety of slots is ok, but understandable due to the size. The restaurant is good, nothing too fancy, but great food and reasonable prices. I'd recommend the historical shrimp cocktail. If you're looking for "glamorous and high end", I would suggest the Golden Nugget or places on the strip. If you are looking for a cost effective stay, this is your place.
  • I had the famous Shrimp Cocktail and pancakes at the DuCar's Diner located within the hotel. Both were awesome! Also checked out some of the memorabilia located around the casino.
  • Not a bad little place. I met the CEO while I was there and we talked for a minute about my casino experience. Nice guy and he really wants what's best for the casino. Would definitely visit again.
  • The Golden Gate casino was clean and fresh smelling. We won money within minutes of being there although had lost it all back by the time we left. Would definitely visit again when I am back in downtown las Vegas.
  • Got in the room noticed immediately that the beds were sunk-in in the middle went down to the front desk to get another room which they happily gave us but this second room was no better than the first. Got a refund went some where els. Still not sure what this "resort" fee was for either lol.
