  • GVR is a stunning property, and that carries over to the casino. As a craps player though, this is not one of my favorite destinations. The tables are so bouncy that they're practically unplayable.  more »
  • This review is for the casino only. Played slots while family waited on line at the buffet for dinner. I think the key to "winning" is to cash out when you're up and not try to hit the big jackpot all...  more »

  • It was OK. Wasn't awesome (4 stars), or spectacular (5 stars). The room interior and bathroom were great, with high ceiling and roominess feel. A coffee maker would have been nice, which I understand shouldn't be in a Strip hotel room, but not a resort in Henderson. Housekeeping -- though friendly and understanding -- knocked on my door both mornings at 8:15 a.m., which seemed ridiculously early.
  • One of the coolest hotels I have ever been to. So much to do right here at the resort. The outside pool area is amazing, the rooms are clean, updated and fair better than the normal you can get with a Hillton room. Inside food court has many varieties, and restaurants to eat at. Let's not forgot the endless gambling one can do. Highly recommended!
  • Everything from sand bottomed pools to upscale rooms(even the standard rooms are plush),lavish suites, surprisingly good sushi (and lobster rolls) nightclub scene and great cinemas. They even have comfy bedzillas situated in the topiary for guests to relax and read or socialize on. We have been staying at Red Rock Resort for ten years, and this was our first weekend here - I am very pleased to say that I would definitely put this property on equal footing in every aspect. I would also say the outdoor areas are definitely more expansive and lush. We will come back here asap.
  • Beautiful hotel lobby and pool, nice casino and adjoining District shopping center. Service was top notch. Movie theaters on site. Good dining options also. Recommend for anyone who does not wish to be in the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip or downtown area to check this place out in Henderson.
  • We enjoyed a great night watching fireworks in the pool. The pool area is very well kept and suitable for all ages. We have eaten at the buffet as well and the food is always really good. We enjoy coming here as a family and enjoying the movies, Kids Quest and the different restaurants.

Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.
