  • I've been to many different city funded parks over the years but none as nice and family friendly as this one. Let me start off by saying that they have a "model" train club that operates out of the p...  more »
  • We walk here almost every morning. It's a nice paved walkway where my toddler can walk alongside me. Very maintained and landscaped. It's a great park and playground! I also love when they play music over the speakers throughout the park.
  • It's a real park! I took my nephew here. It's like a park, with reel metal slides, and fireman posts. All the stuff I used to have, that have all been removed from New York parks because someone along the way sued because their kid stubbed a toe and cried. I harbor a little bitterness toward over-the-top concerns for safe space : ) So yeah, this park is awesome! They've got one of those spinning things that all the kids jump on and get dizzy. The big kids spin in, the little ones fly off. It's terrible fun.
  • Great park, 3 parking lots. I love the Japanese garden. Ample playground, one of the largest around. Has a cultural center and preforming arts. Also they have a children's summer program. This park is always active with people from the fire pit to the volleyball and soccer practice there's never a dull moment. Great for parties, they have grilling amenities.
  • Delightful place to visit for the family. Majestic trees shade over the playground; Spanish moss hanging from their lofty branches sway in the breezes. The pavilions bring opportunity for lovely parties. Shaded walking paths meander throughout the park and around the central green lawn. Children love to visit the sculptures and water features. People have picnics, bring their pets, do yoga... The grounds/parks maintenance people keep it pristine... Hopefully removing just enough of the Spanish moss to keep the dear trees alive for hundreds more years.
  • if this park wasnt so far, I would take my son here all the time. it's packed with fun and adventure for children! definitely recommend bringing your children here to have fun being kids!
