A fun morning or afternoon activity. Pleasant and quite. Rather small for a botanical garden, but the fruits and herbs section is interesting and has lots of variety. It's a good activity to pair with... read more »
Beautiful amenities for picture taking. The gardens are always so well taken care of. Different areas bring different backgrounds love that there are flowers in bloom year round.
This is such a beautiful place. Flowers, trees, lizards and all types of Florida flora in a terrific setting. A perfect spot for taking my Wife's Mom. Peaceful and wonderful!!!
I have visited this garden twice and really enjoyed it both times. It isn't huge but not small either. The gardens are well taken care of and show a lot of natural Florida plans as well as plans non-native to our area. I love that they also have the Heritage Village as part of the gardens. This was a great place to walk around and see and learn about some of the old buildings of Florida. It gives a little view into what life was like in the past. You can't beat the fact that it is free to visit! It was an added bonus for us that it is dog friendly! We love finding somewhere the dogs can tag along with us! They had a nice shaded area with picnic tables that made a perfect spot for us to enjoy our packed lunches!
The Florida Botanical Garden is a true gem that lies at the heart of a system of Pinellas County parks. The formal gardens are well maintained and beautifully organized into collections such as palms, herbs, fruits, and tropical plants. Native plants are highlighted both within the formal gardens and natural woodlands. Particularly considering that there is no admission fee, the Florida Botanical Garden is an essential stop for nature lovers and anyone who who wants to see the beauty that the Florida Gulf coast can produce.
Wonderful gardens with ponds with fountains. The flowers make the place smell sweet and it's not very crowded. Great place to relax and unwind.
This is a beautiful garden that is a must see. Great wide sidewalks for strollers and walkers. Wonderfully diverse flora divided in interesting pathways. Enjoy a picnic or just a quick stroll there is great parking to easily get to your favorite area. It's also has a beautiful wedding garden for your special day. Don't miss the butterfly garden and out door musical instruments - a hit with young and old.
What a jewel this is in the Tampa area! They have a bunch of themed gardens which are fun to walk through and enjoy all the plants and flowers. Plenty of places to sit and meditate, nap or eat your lunch. The gardeners here are generally quite knowledgeable to answer your questions. And to think that it's all free (though donations are welcomed, so please donate to help keep it running!)
