Cooley Law School Stadium is a baseball stadium in Lansing, Michigan, home field of the Lansing Lugnuts minor league baseball team. The Michigan State Spartans college baseball team also plays select home games at Cooley Law School Stadium. The stadium is situated in downtown Lansing in the Stadium District on a relatively narrow strip of land between and below Larch and Cedar streets. It is primarily used for baseball, though it has also hosted an ice skating rink, an outdoor movie theater, a haunted house, and served as a concert venue for the annual Common Ground Music Festival. Due to the dimensions of the city block in which the stadium was constructed, the right and left field fences 'notch' sharply into distances of at each foul pole.HistoryThe stadium replaced a block of storefronts along Michigan Avenue. Originally budgeted $10 million for construction, the construction costs rose slightly to $12.8 million.Groundbreaking for the stadium took place on April 3, 1995, and it was officially opened exactly one year later on April 3, 1996. Its first game was between the college baseball teams of the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Two days later, the Lansing Lugnuts had their first game at the venue against the Rockford Cubbies. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Cooley Law School Stadium and many more Lansing attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Lansing travel itinerary planner.

The club house is a great way to watch the game inside or out. It cost more then the average box seat but to me worth it. They also have a small but great food menu or you can go downstairs and bring ... read more »

My family and I attend at least one baseball game per year and wish we could attend more often. There is not a bad seat in the stadium and the attention the players give to the young kids is priceless... read more »
Lugnuts games are always fun and you'll always have a fair option for a good seat. They've improved the food options significantly over the past few years to include custom and unique hotdogs, a fair number of microbrews, and lots of normal ballpark faire. The game promotions are fun and you've got a good chance to be singled out for contests and entertainment.
Refinished and renewed, you'd never know this stadium was 20 years old. Fun for the whole family, there is a new playground just past the outfield as well as a sports bar with the best view in the house upstairs. If you're thirsty, come on Thursday nights and the best seats for the fireworks on the Fourth of July are just behind the plate in Cooley Law School Stadium.
Great place to see a game, fairly empty most of the time so you can move around comfortably. The expansion in the outfield added some nice bars and dining options, and also there are kids activities and a playground in the corner of the outfield.
Park looks great. Love the new apartments that tower over the field. Now that the park wraps all the way around the park you can enjoy the view of the park from all angles.
Had tons of fun with the kids and wife. Also great place to just take the wife and friends for beer and a game. Thank you Lugnuts
