Cooley Law School Stadium, Lansing
(4.6/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Cooley Law School Stadium is a baseball stadium in Lansing, Michigan, home field of the Lansing Lugnuts minor league baseball team. The Michigan State Spartans college baseball team also plays select home games at Cooley Law School Stadium. The stadium is situated in downtown Lansing in the Stadium District on a relatively narrow strip of land between and below Larch and Cedar streets. It is primarily used for baseball, though it has also hosted an ice skating rink, an outdoor movie theater, a haunted house, and served as a concert venue for the annual Common Ground Music Festival. Due to the dimensions of the city block in which the stadium was constructed, the right and left field fences 'notch' sharply into distances of at each foul pole.HistoryThe stadium replaced a block of storefronts along Michigan Avenue. Originally budgeted $10 million for construction, the construction costs rose slightly to $12.8 million.Groundbreaking for the stadium took place on April 3, 1995, and it was officially opened exactly one year later on April 3, 1996. Its first game was between the college baseball teams of the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Two days later, the Lansing Lugnuts had their first game at the venue against the Rockford Cubbies.

  • This is a great atmosphere for your family to enjoy a baseball game that is affordable and a good experience.
  • The club house is a great way to watch the game inside or out. It cost more then the average box seat but to me worth it. They also have a small but great food menu or you can go downstairs and bring ...  more »

  • I've been in Lansing my entire life and really enjoy a night at a Lugnut's game. There are few ball parks that do what the Lugnuts do, they keep everyone engaged and excited at every moment. The stadium is kept clean, the staff are friendly, and the layout seems to work well. I can't wait for my next game.
  • Single A Minor league baseball team, Lansing Lugnuts. A team with a historically above average record with great fans. Know for Thirsty Thursdays, they host many themed nights for families and MSU students down the street.
  • Lugnuts games are always fun and you'll always have a fair option for a good seat. They've improved the food options significantly over the past few years to include custom and unique hotdogs, a fair number of microbrews, and lots of normal ballpark faire. The game promotions are fun and you've got a good chance to be singled out for contests and entertainment.
  • Great place and atmosphere to take your kids. Always have props for kids to do and try to win prizes.
  • Everything was awesome!! Made new, wonderful family memories! **LOVE FIREWORKS NIGHTS!!! 🌟💥✨😎
