  • Took a guided tour, albeit with a young kids school tour group, though that had its own charm. The place is magnificent and gives a great feel of the more recent history.  more »
  • Beautiful rotundum especially for those who see them for the first time. Went on a gloomy day so the outside might not be so attractive. Anyway the restoration has been successful enough, and the staf...  more »
  • It's easy to forget what a historic treasure we have right here in Lansing; I haven't been in since I was a kid, and wanted to take my children. Trying to educate them on process of government, and gi...  more »

  • This Capital building was ok. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the major information concerning the the building. Not a lot of information or displays concerning the Natives Indians the lived in the State prior to it's establishment.
  • Very Nice staff. Amazing High School students mock arguing real bills. So much fun.
  • I can't believe I hadn't been to visit here sooner! What an absolutely gorgeous building! Just magnificent! I also got to sit in on a Michigan House Senate meeting! Very interesting to watch. I think every Michigan resident should go see there State Capitol Building at least once.
  • Very bad experience with State of Michigan. Got a surprise tax adjustment while living in another country, and because I wasn't able to respond, it was sent it to collections. Tried calling the Michigan treasury department. When I made it through their phone system, they couldn't tell me what the charge was for. Called the collections agency, they gave poor information about repayment requirements, then levied my accounts while I was living paycheck-to-paycheck. Wasn't able to pay rent because of this, and I already had barely enough money for food. Is this how the State of Michigan treats its residents? Terrible communication, poor treatment, very disappointing.
  • Building is about 6 / 10. Limestone is 5 / 10 at best. Memes not too fresh. Overall 1 / 5
