I can only review what I am familiar with - Merrymead Farm pies. I buy pies there for all major holiday. You can pre-order, or take your chances with what they may have available. Their berry pie (act... read more »
This is a nice farm with animals, produce for purchase and of course ice cream. My toddler's favorites are the bunnies and baby cows. They also have plenty of pumpkins and flowers as well as fall fest... read more »
I go here for ice cream!!! Yes, there are other places nearby, but IMHO they don't come close to the flavor and quality of Merrymead. So then while I'm here, I check out the home baked goods, excellen... read more »
We enjoy Merrymead farm. This is a great place to take children to learn about farms and animals and stuff. They have a nice farm store and delicious ice cream. There are always fun things to do especially in the fall with corn mazes etc. They host a local church group at Christmas time that tells the Christmas story in a play outside the barn with live animals, a wonderful cast, Christmas carols and tasty hot chocolate. A must-see!
Would of been better had I not seen what looked like to me to be an overcrowded hen and chicken house, and unhappy cows stuffed into an inclosed overcrowded barn, and unhappy calves seperated from their Mommies in a tinny living space no bigger than a small dog house. Can't you STILL get milk from a cow even with the baby by it's side? I mean, the Mother cries for it's baby for a week when it's pulled from the her! Nedless to say, not a single animal is free range and all but 2 are overcrouded and I didn't see any water either and it was HOT! ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars is because my 1 daughter enjoyed seeing some of the animals and they, despite not having water looked well fed. . Otherwise, you might as well call it just another "factory farms".
Drive past this place kinda often so decided to take the wife to see what all they had. They have a wide arrangement of flowers and plants for your garden at good prices. Inside however you have to stop in and grab an ice cream cone and grab some chocolate milk to take home with you! The small zoo they had in back was interesting as well.
Great ice cream and enjoyable short walk near the farm animals. Also tractor pulled hay tours are available and they are always a bit hit with my 2 and 4 year old.
Wonderful time! I only had great memories from when my parents brought me; & going back with my lady was just as awesome as I remembered it being! Between the homemade snacks/food, & the nostalgia with the animals, corn maze, it was a great time! Can't wait til it warms up to go back!
