  • Its worth the easy 1 mile drive from SR 90. The original Jersey Lilly saloon is still there with a few artifacts. The folks working the desk are extremely helpful and they have troves of information available on all things touristy in TX. What they don't have is any gasoline and it is a long way to find any in either direction. Maybe a suggestion for TX DOT is to have a few gas cans on hand for wayward travelers.
  • The staff are wonderful a day very knowledgeable. Including trips into BIG Bend NP and where to get gas. Not to run low as we found gas stations that are open with gas are few and far between. The Cactus gardens and windmill are a great addition to the attraction of Judge Roy Bean memoriabilia.
  • I thought this might be a little old shack off the beaten path, and boy was I wrong! Adjacent to the Roy Bean saloon is a modern Texas travel center with restrooms, many pamphlets, and friendly & helpful staff. There is also a large and well-kept cactus garden that you can walk around. Come for the museum, stay for the facilities!
  • Loved the history! It was awsome going through the saloon and opera house. I would have loved to move in. The catus garden walk ip to the windmill was both beautiful and educational. The lady at the visitors center was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Had a great visit and it was all free!
  • Unique history here. The friendly staff here anxious to give you more information about the Great State of Texas.
