The park is great, It's very tranquil. Went with my family and we had a blast. They don't allow alcohol in the premises, but we had some beer cans (not bottles) and they didn't say anything. All benches have a grill next to them so be sure to bring charcoal and lighters. If for some reason you forget to a buy something, there is a supermarket about 3 minutes away. The lake was clean, not deep at all (4ft.) They have 2 sand volleyball courts, don't worry about bringing your own volleyball, you can rent one for $5.
This lake is beautiful. Very quiet and the price is only for parking. You enjoy your stay here if you're early and 10$ is great considering how well the park is maintained. Not everything is free in this world. I love the atmosphere and landscape. I'm actually planning my return very soon. My favorite part is the staff in the stand, they are very sweet and quick with orders. I brought my 5 year old and I was able to rent a life jacket... Since I forgot mine. They are very nice.
My heartfelt thanks to the First Aid Department, and to the highly trained staff and their professionalism, for the tremendous service that I received, and to the officers that helped me to my car. This is definitely a beautiful, clean and we'll cared for place to visit, for picnicking, for friends and family.❤
I was insulted by the police guard. He even hit my car, and yelled don't come back to this place. I was standing there for a few minutes to see is someone left the place so I could enter. Being hated just because of your race is horrible. I will never come back to that place.
Place is ok but entrance fees for visitors is bad they charge $10 . Is not good, why is not good because visitors they travel long journey is Chicago to New Jersey. Visitors must be discount prices. That's way I am not happy.
