  • We visited Thistle Finch Distillery on a Sunday afternoon (only 1 tour on Sundays at 1:00 pm) and it was an adventure. There is a small sign pointing you in the direction of the door in this little al...  read more »
  • Truely was unsure due to location but is a true shuold be proud. We had drinks then did the tour. Lucas was the guide and he was wonderful. Go spend an afternoon well worth it.
  • We arrived at the distillery to do a tasting (about 4 pm) and to hopefully purchase a bottle or two of the spirits we tasted. However, the bartender was very rude. She only stated that our daughter wa...  read more »
  • This is such a cool place! they make everything on site. The bartender there is awesome and knows so much i never even thought about with whiskey. if your in the area this is a must stop! make sure you try the vodka!q
  • Excellent beer in a rustic setting. It's small, but they usually have great live music. Not a large food selection, but the great brews makes up for it!
  • The tour is free and lasts about 45 minutes. We learned about the history of the building and the process of distilling liquor, including whiskey, rye and vodka. There is a free tasting session at the end of the tour, which is a pretty rare feature. Highly recommend if you're heading to or through the Lancaster area.
  • I was only introduced to Thistle Finch 5 months ago though never tried their white rye until just recently. It is by far the smoothest rye whiskey in the clear I've ever had. I enjoy a good bourbon and a fine scotch. . I have to say this is one or my too favorites, I'm a local and really appreciate them coming to town. The Wacker brewery is also in the same building , the bars are in the same room. They do pair nicely. Enjoyed the Scottish tea infused whiskey as well. Just wish they were open later during the weekend.
  • Thistle Finch Distillery offers free tours on Saturdays at 3 and 4. They run about half hour and you get samples of their spirits after the tour. I got a chance to try the white rye whiskey, coffee rye, pepper rye, gin, and vodka. They all have this very yeasty taste to it so if you're not a fan of that, you probably won't like it. The most interesting ones were definitely the coffee and the pepper. The coffee has a subtle taste to it. The pepper, you can't really taste the spiciness while drinking it but it will hit you afterwards. My boyfriend and I headed over to their bar afterwards to try some of their concoctions. I would definitely recommend the Martin Mule, which is their variation of a Moscow Mule. One thing I would recommend Thistle Finch improve on is their paying system at the bar. Each time you order a drink, you have to get up, and walk over to their iPad (which is connected to a security stand) in order to pay.
