  • Neat...kinda deserted looking
  • The g nav directions to this place will steer you completely wrong down a washboard dirt road to nowhere on the south side of the butte (2/2016). The campground and day use areas are on the NW corner of the park, enter on Ave J just east of the corner of 170th St E. The camping is further south down the drive from the day use picnic area. It's a pleasant enough campground, with nice hike through the sand and Joshua trees, but you are fairly aware of the populated Palmdale areas to the west. An austere high desert setting but sure nice at sunset. Camping is $26 which is pretty steep.
  • Beautiful views for the peak. Bring water and sunscreen
  • Nice hike, great view at the top.
  • Love the nature walk, cool breeze, easy to see trail
