4.3/5 based on 1,700+ reviews on the web
The imitation stone facade of Dutch Wonderland was built by a potato farmer in 1963. The park has 34 rides and Duke's Lagoon water park, as well as shows and games for children. The Kingdom Coaster and Joust roller coasters are favorites, along with the traditional carnival rides, such as bumper cars. For a glimpse of the past, visit Exploration Island, which is home to 15 early animatronic dinosaurs that growl and bow as you walk the Prehistoric Path. • We have been coming to Dutch Wonderland for many years. It's the perfect size and scale for younger kids without the crowds you tend to find at Hershey and other big amusement parks. There are a coupl...  read more »
  • Used to visit here with my own children. A day in the park has become a fall tradition with my grandchildren. Nice size park for young children - under 6. Staff pays attention to height requirement fo...  read more »
  • This was our first visit. Parts of the park were great and parts looked like it needed a paint job since the 1980s! The new dinosaur park area is interesting and animatronics are very cool. The other ...  read more »
  • It is completely for kids which was awesome. I traveled 3 1/2 Hours to get here and it was worth it. The good available wasn't too overpriced and my 6 year old daughter loved it and felt oh so brave going on everything. She loved the Kingdom Coaster.
  • I am saddened to rate Dutch Wonderland just 3 stars, however I just can't imagine giving it a higher rating. Many parts of the theme park are a blast from the past, and take me back to my child hood. Unfortunately they are an exact blast from the past, and haven't been updated or even painted in the 20+ years its been since I visited as a kid. The rocket ship ride is peeling and looks sad. The VR ride, which was amazing when I was a kid, hasn't been updated and is just silly to be operating in 2016. They have made some improvements like the island and the water park. However I don't think those additions alone justify the price they are now asking. At $144 for a family of 4, and that's before the theme park usual of overpriced food, drinks, and souvenirs, I just can't recommend traveling back to the 1980s-90s when this place was in its glory.
  • Great park for younger kids! We took our 7 and 4 year olds here and they had a blast! There was only a few rides my 4 year old couldn't go on . You can't bring food in but they have a picnic area outside the park so if you want to pack a lunch you can. The water park is small but nice. Figure a couple of hours for the water park and bring water shoes or flip flops as they are needed for the water slides. Discovery island was cool, the kids enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs! We watched a diving show and met princess Brooke and Duke. Every staff member we met was very nice and friendly. Overall it was worth visiting!
  • Perfect for Toddlers! We went with our 3 year old and infant, and our toddler could not have had a better time. She was able to ride on almost every single ride, and it was just enough to keep her busy but not so much that it was overwhelming. There were a few really cute little shows that kept both the kids and parents interested. There are a few areas on or over water that are pretty buggy, but that would be my only real complaint. The park stayed open through a little rain shower so bring your rain gear and enjoy the fun. *Tip - The fresh lemonade was DELICIOUS so get a cup! Tickets were reasonably price & so were the souvenirs.
  • Dutch Wonderland is the PERFECT place for families to bring their young kids. The rides were clean and most importantly safe. The staff were friendly and engaged with all of the activities. We will probably make Dutch Wonderland a staple of our summer vacation for he next few years. It definitely serves as a great warm up for larger parks in the future.
