  • It's a park....nothing different than other parks we've been too. Hoped to see the eagles and ospreys but weren't lucky as we didn't see any.
  • Went here with our dogs and a very pregnant daughter. Heard it was a tranquil place with a short and easy hike - perfect for a pregnant lady. Easy to get to. Was definitely peaceful and relaxing. Plen...  more »
  • This campground is ideally situated for visiting Acadia. We had a great campsite and found they were generally spacious and private. The campground overlooks the ocean and had nice clean bath houses w...  more »

  • Stayed here during our visit to Acadia National Park, it is away from the crowds and in a great location! The campground is beautiful, great views, and nice facilities. But just a warning: we roasted marshmallows during our first night and had several unwanted visitors...skunks! We saw them throughout the campground but they didn't bother with us the following night because we left the mallows in the car. We weren't really able to relax and unwind worrying about critters joining us around the fire...
  • This is a great place to go camping for a very reasonable price whether you have an RV or tent. They have potable water a dumping station, bathrooms and showers. There is access to the water but no beach. About a mile down the road there is a public beach . . . It's pretty rocky but you and/or the kiddos can get wet!
  • Clean, cozy, well laid out state park and campground. Kids had fun on the beach, the playground, and in the tree house. Would stay again for sure.
  • Third year back - great access to Acadia area, but away from the big crowds. Campground staff have been great and the park is very nice: with its own rocky, but easily accessed beach, short hiking trails, water access, play areas for the kids, views of Acadia......even a short stretch down the road is a community beach. Tucked away with plenty to do at the Park and great access to the Acadia area!
  • Great state Campground on Frenchman's bay!! Awesome location.
