  • It was a well organized night of fun with something for all ages to enjoy. Look forward to going again.
  • Whenever family comes down we all go to the River Ranch to see the Rodeo. It never fails to be a big hit with young and old. The rodeo isn't the same thing every week. If you saw it once, you should s...  more »

  • Great experience! There's a lot of fun stuff to do (line dancing, horseback riding, swamp buggy, etc) and the rooms are very nice. Some of the friendliest staff I've ever met.
  • Room and property was clean and tidy. Went on a crowded weekend so they ran out of golf carts but the walk to places on property isn't bad. Rodeo was entertaining. Apparently all the recent rain caused some of the activities to be closed, or maybe they just opened late that day. Over all it was a nice overnight getaway, would have liked to have been able to do more things in the morning though. Again probably wet conditions caused activities to be closed.
  • We went for a local Autism event. The accomodations were nice and the resort was well done. They had a lot of activities available but the majority of them were extra. It was quiet and pretty peaceful there except during the rodeo and street party, to be expected. I wasn't sure how I would like it there but it was a nice escape. My only complaints are that the resort is really isolated so you have to travel to Lake Wales for any necessities or if you don't want to eat at their only restaurant. The other complaint is that not all places in the resort take room charges. I was taken aback by that. I ordered a drink from the saloon and had to run to our room for my credit card.
  • We spent two nights "glamping" at Westgate River Ranch. We loved the convenience of having everything set up and ready to go, while still having that camping feel. The air mattresses were lined, and very comfortable, even for my picky sleepers. The tent zipped open and closed, like a real tent, but the canvas is thick and kept the A/C in well. Only downsides to the glamping accommodations was lack of a private fire - 5-10 tents share a campfire- and the airport that's a stone's throw away - planes were taking off and landing as early as 7am. But we were up with our kids, so it didn't bother us. The resort had a surprising amount of things to do - petting zoo, pony rides, rodeo on Saturday night; air boats and dune buggies, hiking and fishing. The land around the ranch is beautiful, and horses and cattle roam inside fences all over - the horses would come up to the fence and let us pet them. We enjoyed our stay, and we will definitely go back! It was a perfect way to get out of the city while still having convenience and great service.
  • We stayed in the Glamping area. It was a great time. The tents are water proof and air conditioned. On the grounds, they have mini golf, horseback riding, a petting zoo and fishing among other things to keep you busy. The only negatives are the cell signal is minimal unless you want to pay for wifi, but even the WiFi is sporadic and when it rains there are mud puddles everywhere. Still, it was a great experience. We are already planning our next stay.
