  • This is an excellent place to relax at your camp site as it is very quite and lots of birds and wild life, a place to do your laundry (coin operated), Bathroom and Showers is kept clean and very nice,...  more »
  • we were hoping to walk around or by the lake but the park is not on the lake. It seems to be for boats - docks in the park connect to the lake via canals and rivers.  more »

  • The park is very quiet and peaceful. The wild turkeys roam the grounds like children playing in the yard. The dear a plentiful and are not scared off easily, they will graze within a few feet of your campsite if you don’t scare them off. There is great freshwater fishing and boating. The docks are new as is the fish cleaning station. The park Rangers are all very nice as well as helpful. A beautiful park for quality family time. Oh .... and by the way, the campsites are large, shady and private. The bathrooms are spotless!
  • Great park but our camp site was later out oddly with the picnic table to the rear behind some bushes. Bath facilities were perfect. The cow camp is awesome, very knowledgeable staff.
  • Great hiking trails. Pleasant staff. Clean restrooms, laundry facilities. A wild pig (I guess, he was hiding in the tall brush) snorted at us when walking on the green flare path by the lake. Never saw him. There are alligators but we never encountered one.
  • A very nice place to hike and see Florida's landscape. The cow camp is neat, and the person there will tell you about Florida's history There is a high observation tower with great views of the prairie (not for those scared of heights) and some nice trails. It can get hot so bring water.
  • When we arrived we thought we had made a big mistake as the park is quite isolated but over our five day stay we found out how wrong we were. The park is clean, well managed and the staff ever so friendly. Apart from the wild life, and peace and quiet the two astronomers, Alan and Terry, who each night were star gazing gave us an insight to the night sky and allowed everyone to look thru their scopes, great stuff. We would certainly return.
