On the National Register of Historic Places, Bok Tower Gardens sits atop one of central Florida's highest points. Spanning nearly 100 hectares (250 acres), this site features winding paths and secluded clearings. The Singing Tower, a 62 m (205 ft) tall Gothic-Art Deco structure, features a carillon with 60 large bells. You can wander through the gardens to find many varieties of blooming flowers, endangered plants, and tranquil pools, many designed by famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. While in the park, keep your eyes open for the 126 different bird species, as well as tortoises and snakes, which call the gardens home. • This is a great place to visit. We took the mansion tour, heard the carillon play, explored various paths and gardens. They've really put a lot of effort into it and it shows. A wonderful half day spe...  read more »
  • Highly recommended place to spend an afternoon for those who want a pleasant alternative to theme parks. The tower is stunning, as are the surrounding views. The tower has a working carillon and it is played live daily. Take a pleasant walk through the gardens and take a tour of a historic home (must do).
  • Bok Tower Garden has a way of transporting you into another time and place. The green grass envelops you as you walk up the slightly steep incline through lush gardens to grand tower itself. Every hour an organist plays live through the tower and out into the hillside serenading the entire area. It's hauntingly beautiful. Please take the time to learn and read the history of this landmark. Lay in the lawn and feel the energy here. The CAFE is a DO NOT MISS. The chef makes incredibly tasty and fresh food and it's a fair price. They carry craft beers, some local and ORGANIC. The shop sells fresh local honey and plants to start your own home oasis. If the incline sounds a little difficult for you to manage don't fret! There are adult sized 3 wheel chairs to assist and baby carriages to BORROW for at no additional charge. The park also hosts special events throughout the year including camping on ground, stargazing, and garden activities. I have visited as a child and as an adult and each time I appreciate the magic even more.
  • This is a beautiful garden not too far from Orlando. The aquatic plants are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. You cannot climb the tower but you can visit the first floor where they have an small exhibition. It is a great place so see the full splendor of nature and breath some fresh air.
  • It is truly a beautiful garden!  There are places to picnic and Florida's own version of rolling hills are in sight.  My wife and I didn't do any of the hiking trails because it was too hot (June).  The visitor center has a nice video and small museum.  The tower is impressive with a spectacular bronze door.  We did the house tour which was nice.  You can walk around the outside of the house without a ticket if you don't care to see the inside.  It's a self guided tour but there are volunteers throughout who provide some commentary.  Overall Bok Tower and Gardens is worth the cost of entrance.  It's a ways south of Orlando (over an hour drive) but one of the top gardens I've seen.  You can easily spend 4-6 hours here.  Last item is I don't recommend this trip in the summer.  There is some shade but Florida heat is too much and you won't get to take advantage of all that there is to do.
  • I really enjoyed bok tower and expecially the pine wood estate! The estate was probably my favorite part! I would like to come back when its decorated in holiday lights!
