The history of this place is connected with the name of Edward Bok. At age seven, Edward moved from the Netherlands to New York. He couldn't speak English, did not know cultural traditions and customs of their new homeland. Some time later, Bock began working as one Messenger at Office of Western Union, while attending night school. To 18 years Side has already moved in the circle of such luminaries as Ulysses S. grant, Jefferson Davis, Henry w. Longfellow, Oliver Wendell Holmes and President Rutherford Hayes. But in the 26 years he became editor of the ladies ' home journal that "— became the first periodical in the world with a circulation of over 1 million. copies. Side 30 years more was the Chief Editor of this magazine. In 1920, after retirement, Bok received a Pulitzer Prize for autobiography — "the Americanization of Edward Bok (The Americanization of Edward Bok). The side always wanted to somehow reward the country that gave him shelter. As a result, on the highest point of Florida he broke grounds and built the singing Tower. Garden strikes the beauty, the Majesty of the tower. Go and watch it all must be. Side of this park has implemented its motto: "make the world a little better or prettier because he lived it.

You can find peace and quiet here. Bok Tower is located on rolling hills on an immense plot delicately decorated with native (don't quote me) plants and trees. Numerous paved and rugged trails are lined with benches where you can sit and enjoy the scenery or follow the symphony of the birds which enthusiastically fly from branch to branch. There is room for everyone here. Children who like to run, bird watchers, plant enthusiasts, they even have a plant shop with everything from cilantro to persimmon to other non-edible plants I can't really name. This is also a place for photographers who are attracted to both interesting casts of light, architecture, and the obvious, plants. Highly recommend.

A beautiful area to spend a day at. The grounds are beautifully kept. They have a children's garden ( under 5 free). There is cafe ( which I bought some delicious honey wine from.) Beautiful backdrops for wedding photos. Behind the tower, there is an overlook. I would definitely go back, but I will wait for the fall.

The gardens are so beautiful! The tower itself is amazing and plays music several times a day. Definitely pay the extra five bucks to tour the manor, that was incredible. Bring your kids, they'll love running around the children's area that has plenty of park benches in the shade for parents to rest.
