  • I had seen these falls once before. That time was in late June. Seeing them in the first week of May with the snow melting was so much batter. I loved them. And it's way less crowded.  more »

  • I have been there in May and August, in May, there is tons of water cascading under the bridge (a mile from the parking lot) and snow, in August, not much at all but pools of water as you ascend to Eagle lake. The water in May produces a great waterfall near the entrance along Hwy 89, but you need to climb down to capture it. Emerald Bay is always great in photos since it is already there.
  • Beautiful and very easy hike. Something to check out for sure. Not a challenge at all to get to. There are a lot of steps and boulders, but not too difficult at all.
  • Beautiful place, but be early so you can park your car.
  • A must see if you are visiting tahoe! The rock climbing at 90foot wall is perfect!
  • Great hike and beautiful views, especially in the winter. Be careful if there is not fresh snow because it can be very icy.
