  • We enjoyed the ride in, just north of Emerald Bay on the West side of Lake Tahoe. This park has relatively short hikes and water access to the beautiful colors of Lake Tahoe--several shades of blue & ...  read more »
  • Rubicon Trail was amazing! The hike is easy and affords absolutely stunning views of Lake Tahoe! It takes you hiking among boulders, over a wooden bridge, among the pine trees, and on to Emerald Bay -...  read more »
  • You know how you want a hike that is well marked but gives you all the razzle dazzle of great views and interesting paths? Well go to BLISS! We went to the end of the park where the beach starts and W...  read more »
  • This is a beautiful park with nice campgrounds and a beach you have to hike to. The cons (boy are there serious cons): Get here before 10AM on the weekend to find parking at the beach. The minuscule day use parking at the entrance gets filled quickly so be prepared to park on highway 89 and walk in if you want to hike around. The campsites cost a ridiculous $45/night. Don't bring your dog since it's a CA State Park.
  • Get there early for the lot at the bottom, on the sand obviously fills up quickly. They maintain a clean facility. Perfect location to launch your kayak for heading to Emerald Bay.
  • Beautiful trails, view, and beach. The campground was great with nice facilities, but we couldn't enjoy our campground because of all the yellow jackets. We kept food covered when not using it, but the moment we tried to cook or eat they were everywhere. I'm not sure if other sites on the grounds had the same problem.
  • Great place to relax at the beach! Amazing campsites for tent camping too. Just make sure you get there early during peak season due to day use filling up.
  • Beautiful camping experience. We went hiking, kayaking and just enjoying the outdoors. Water was clear and refreshing, the beach was busy but not an issue since we were already in the campgrounds.
