  • This was a gem in Lake Lure - we took our kids and they had a blast, and so did we! You couldn't find a nicer host and the museum was fantastic. If you find yourself in the area you have to drop in. Y...  more »

  • The whole family enjoyed watching all the trains run the tracks and fly through the tunnels. There's a nice selection of antique toys trains as well. Peggy does and excellent job running the museum in honor of her husband and raising money for the Pancreatic Cancer Auction Network.
  • A friend received a blessing from visiting the museum. He has since passed on from pancreatic cancer at age 51. On April 9, several friends and I drove 90 minutes to get there, only to find "closed for the season" posted on the door. No online info said anything about it being closed. What a disappointment! • Tried to visit on Sunday 9/5. Relied on the hours listed on Google which were incorrect. Only open 2 -5 on Sundays. Unsure if it is worth another 2 hour drive to come back again only to find it closed. Be sure to check hours before you make plans to visit.
  • I met the owner and love the idea of a private Museum supporting a cause. A place for both kids and the kid in all of us.
