London Bridge, Lake Havasu City

(1,100+ reviews on the web)
Bridge
The 1831 bridge that once spanned England's Thames was purchased and dismantled by Robert P. McCulloch in 1967, and relocated to Lake Havasu City. McCulloch completed London Bridge in 1971, after shipping the original parts from London and working on the reconstruction for his planned community in Arizona. Now, you can visit this piece of British history in the United States, as the concrete bridge is clad in the masonry of the original. Walk or drive over the Colorado River on this historic structure that traveled piece by piece across the Atlantic Ocean. Put London Bridge at the forefront of your travel plans using our Lake Havasu City trip itinerary builder.

  • This place is just tooooooo hot. I saw 131 F. Even the lake is in the 90s. If you can get a boat, it's a lot of fun, but mainly for college age students. The desert bar is really cool, though, if you ...  more »

  • My uncle used to do gondola tours under the bridge and on the lake while singing Italian songs to couples. This is a beautiful sight if you boat here at night. The lights are beautiful!
  • Went on whim a while back and just now thought to drop a review. When we were there there shops ere not open so maybe we were too early. It's a beautiful place to see and the kids definitely had fun. Will have to make another trip (planned) this time to really enjoy the area.
  • The bullet holes from WWII are cool, but at the end of the day its just a bridge.
  • This is kinda what you would expect, a random small town in Arizona bought the world famous London bridge, transported it, and built it up as it was previously. The sight is something to behold, if it's a small detour make it. The town otherwise is rather boring and lacking anything of interest.
  • It was relaxing and nice. It is especially nice midweek with very few people around
