London Bridge, Lake Havasu City

Bridge Landmark
The 1831 bridge that once spanned England's Thames was purchased and dismantled by Robert P. McCulloch in 1967, and relocated to Lake Havasu City. McCulloch completed London Bridge in 1971, after shipping the original parts from London and working on the reconstruction for his planned community in Arizona. Now, you can visit this piece of British history in the United States, as the concrete bridge is clad in the masonry of the original. Walk or drive over the Colorado River on this historic structure that traveled piece by piece across the Atlantic Ocean. • Very cool to see the bridge that they hung William Wallace from. There is a parade of boats going through the channel that was fun to see as well. It was a little hot but all in all pretty cool.
  • What an incredible place to visit! Great restaurants, wonderful souvenir shops, all against the background of the real London Bridge! Robert McCullough bought the bridge from England and had it reassembled in this unlikely place. The only thing missing is the Towers. Folks like to boat around here. It's very scenic AND historic! Fun AND interesting!
  • If the staff weren't so rude, this place would of been a 5 star. The older staff there all have power control trips. Really rude. The staff couldn't stop my fun though. Kocomos is the best place in town if you forget about the staff
  • The bridge is certainly an interesting experience. To be able to walk across a piece of history from England is definitely unique. The little village they have at the bottom is cute and a nice place for tourists to walk around.
  • I had a lot of fun here. The town gets very dark at night. The bridge is an interesting site. It was fun to watch the boats. It is a calm area and great for a vacation.
