  • Great place to visit, it can get very hot during the summer, luckily you can drive down to where the sand meets the water and cool off in the water. Avoid water up your nose as the Brain-eating amoeba has been detected here before.
  • One of the Secret Spots in Lake Havasu without Boating In.. They Trucked in White Sand to Make it look and feel like Ocean Beach.. The swimming area is Rocky so make sure to get you a nice Water Shoe.. But because of the Rocks the Water is very clear compared to Rotary Beach just down the Road which is Muddy and Cloudy.. Picnic Tables are Under Trees which give you enough sunshade throughout the Day..
  • Outside of the heat, this place was gorgeous! The water was so clear, and refreshing. The rangers at the front were so nice and helpful. Would go back for sure!!
  • Aside from the park ranger who yelled at me from his truck, i had a great time at the LHSP. The employees at the check-in station were very friendly and didn't have much of a presence in the evenings. It's nice to feel like you're not being checked on. But during the weekend their presence increased, mostly to see if anyone coming in from the wknd needed help. The lake beach is beautiful, gorgeous sunsets, and the facilities are clean. About that ranger.. the speed limit through the park is 15mph, i sped up, accidentally, to 25mph and when a park ranger drove past me he started wailing his arm up & down to get my attn then yelled 'SLOW DOWN!!' when we passed. I was pretty horrified that i was being yelled at for such a minor offense. I wasn't some kid speeding thru the park, a simple 'slow down please' would've been effective and polite. Aside from that incident, was a great experience. Very close to restaurants, cafes & gas/convenience. Plus the London Bridge is right there.
  • Nice area and clear lake water overall very beautiful sunsets are gorgeous and their is a nice camping area for you and your kids to have endless fun
