  • Well maintained course. Went on a Wednesday morning and course was pretty empty that day, so was able to tee off immediately despite not having a tee time.

  • I am commenting only on an overnight stay, not on the dining or golf aspects ... We were desperate to find accomodations in the Lake George area and after calling dozens of hotels in town, this was our only option. When we arrived, we realized why it wasn't booked like everyone else. It's about 20 minutes from the town center, so not convenient, but more than anything the rooms can only be described as SCARY. It felt like staying at someone's house rather than a hotel. The rooms were cramped and oddly configured. One bathroom was separate from the room. Another opened onto a porch that was directly connected to another room. Some doors did not have locks. With our group of 5, I realized 2 bedrooms were going to be uncomfortable, so I asked if I could get a deal on a 3rd bedroom. The very nice bartender / hostess / manager handed me a key and said don't worry about it, no charge. Wow! When we got back from town that night, the entire place was dark. There was no one around. We could've gone to the bar and poured ourselves a drink (we didn't). We did not feel safe or secure, but hunkered down for the night. I barricaded my porch door in case some decided to go through the adjacent room to get to mine. This next day, we were happy to realize we all survived the night. We went down for the included homemade breakfast and it was icky: gray eggs, dirty ham, and not many other choices. And they obviously wanted us out of there and didn't appear happy when we rejected their subpar food. But the real slap in the face was when I was handed a bill for the room I was told was free. "Someone needs to make the room" I was told ... OK, fair enough. The charge was $150! Had I known that, I would've toughed it out and crammed into 1 of the 2 bedrooms we originally had (and probably would've had an even worse night's sleep). So ... I can't recommend staying here unless you are desperate and willing to endure a creepy adventure while not feeling 100% safe.
  • Amazing views from every tee and green. Well kept greens and fairways. Elegant mix of easy and difficult holes with creative usage of the mountain landscape. Great price for great golf. I reccomend driving because walking 18 is exhaustive.
  • Amazing gem with views! Excellent service, food and charming inn with alot of history. We just stayed here for Americade and had the place to ourselves at their Inn. The room was very well appointed with everything you'd need. At 4:30am, we could see the sun start to come up over Lake George, an experience of its own with all the mountains in the background. When we got up in the morning at 8, a staff member of the Inn brought me a cup of tea up to my room when conversing with her about how my sinuses were bothering me; GREAT attention to detail and genuine care. When we arrived for breakfast in the dining hall, we were greeted again by the same staff member with fresh fruit containing sliced strawberries oranges and bananas, hot croissants and muffins. It was then followed by a hot gourmet breakfast of hot tea, spinach/egg frittatas, crispy bacon and homeade cranberry and nut bread with fresh preserves and butter. There was also fresh grapefruit juice along with water for the table. They also placed us at the front of the dining room looking over the mountain and Lake George. We will be back for certain and telling everyone about this beautiful place!
  • Amazing food and best view of Lake George
  • My wife, 7 and 9 year old kids enjoyed this course best of the others in the area.
