Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Located in the heart of the Adirondacks, Magic Forest features 25 rides and themed shows aimed at entertaining younger children and sparking their imaginations. Lead your little one through the Fairy Tale Trail, which tells the stories of Hansel and Gretel, the Three Little Pigs, and other classic tales. Take a tractor ride on the Mile Long Safari and make your way through make-believe animals and their habitats, or watch a magician perform tricks during a magic show. On your way out, stop for a photo with the giant Uncle Sam statue, the largest in the world at nearly 12.4 m (40 ft). Keep in mind that the park is meant for toddlers, and adults will not be able to go on most rides. • We went to the park. Its well groomed and clean. The rides are dated and old but still fun. The park is perfect for younger children who aren't big enough for The great Escape. The entrance fees are k...  more »
  • What does a diving horse (the only in the world, apparently), children's fairy tale's, and inflated food costs all have in common? The Magic Forest, of course! A curiously odd road side attraction, th...  more »

  • Great for kids. I'm only giving it one star because I think having a horse jump to a pool is cruel. It was clear the horse did not want to do the act. Nowadays we shouldn't have animals performing only to entertain people. The horse was clearly stressed. The horse was kept in a very small space. Simply cruel.
  • First of all minus 2 stars for horse diving attraction. Are you serious? After a magic show all kids are invited to see a poor horse get pushed diving into a freezing water. And they have a sign saying that this is the only live horse diving place still in the country. Are you seriously proud of that? On to a review... this is a time machine from 1960s. Basically a collection of very old rides that you would normally see at a corner street festival. Some are just too old and must be replaced. My kids wouldn't do half of them because honestly they looked like something was about to break. The ferris wheel was like a roller coaster. There's some water slide that looks like a suicide trap. And the large creepy figures need to go. Half of them are in poor shape and are just weird. Times have changed and they don't do it for kids anymore. Sorry. The train ride is a diesel engine and the smell is horrible. Everyone couldn't wait to get off. The place has a lot of potential if they would only rotate these old rides. It's under a beautiful canopy of trees so there is always shade. Nice walks everywhere. Ideal for little kids. All kids enjoyed the magic show, all homes with little figurines, the Santa Claus house (Santa was a very nice gentleman ;). Food is very basic and could use an improvement too. Can't beat the price though; $20 / person. The staff could use some uniforms or matching shirts at least. Otherwise everyone was very nice and friendly.
  • I love this place! It's really weird & quirky and I don't think anything has been updated since the 70's, but it's our favorite place to go every summer. My 4 year old loves it and has every year.
  • Great park for kids. I would recommend it to anyone that has younger children. I enjoyed looking at the statues and hoing on the train ride
  • Perfect for younger children. My 6 year old could go on all of the rides and it's not too crowded and commercialized. Lots if shade so it doesn't get too hot.
