  • Everyone should enjoy this park. It is family friendly and dog friendly. Great place for exercise! Very close to much of the city, including shopping.
  • We went to this park while visiting Lake Charles. There should be a park like this in every town. It is well kept. While there we saw people catching crabs, fishing, jogging, using the exercise statio...  more »

  • Great park to swing/slide or lay in the grass. Good covered areas with BBQ pits
  • This park gets better and better each year since I have been going. The groundskeepers do a great job maintaining the park.
  • Very nice park to jog, fish, boat, picnic, or anything else you want.
  • Our Lake Charles area volleyball team had decided to play a grass tournament in the prien lake park. They day of the tournament, we had went to the park to set up the volleyball courts. To keep the courts on the ground we had attempted to use U shaped, less than 1/8th inches by the way, canopy stakes. As we were putting these in the ground a park employee approached us and had told us that we were t aloud to put any of these stakes put in the ground. The explanation the police jury had was that they didn't know what was in the ground. So an eighth inch stake in the ground can mess up the grass? I mean come on. SHAME ON YOU PRIEN LAKE PARK!!
  • The park has a really nice paved walking/running track around it complete with exercise stations every few hundred meters. It has an excellent kayak launch as well.
