  • I was in a non smoking room but the Wilke building smelled like smoke and mildew. The carpet was dirty. The hotel didn't have any info about their hotel in the room. When I inquired I was told to look...  read more »
  • Went there to gamble with a friend. The place to me look like it was Old and vacate looking. Didn't have a lot of people there.
  • Gaming is pretty good, but the food and the motel are average at best. The Isle offers a good variety of table games and slots. The dealers seem to like to have fun and cut up more than some casinos. ...  read more »
  • Just went to the casino, but read that it was recently renovated. It didn't look the best but didn't k the worst either. The valet and staff were helpful. Dealers were very friendly and helpful. Honestly, I had a much better time here than the highly hyped Golden Nugget. I definitely felt like they just wanted to take my money, not even at least being friendly while they did it. All the table games are much more affordable which helps out with your money to time management significantly. It's located right off Lake Charles and has easy access to it and I-10. Definitely recommend it to friends.
  • We took a trip to Isle of Capri for some late night gambling. First of all, the place reeks of cigarette smoke even though they have signs saying "we've improved our air filtration system" It's clearly not working. Second, in comparing this casino to the other two in the area, this one loses hands down. The only thing going for it, is the table games which start off at $5 minimum instead of $10. The service was worse, the game selection was worse, the free drinks provided while gambling are watered down, and there's no real good reason to choose Isle of Capri over the Golden Nugget or Lauberge
  • Stayed at the Inn for a business trip. Our room was never cleaned, some of the hotel staff was extremely rude, and there was a pretty constant smell of urine and cigarette smoke in the hallways. Our room didn't smell though, and we had a pretty good view. The buffet and staff at the buffet was really nice. My advise, if you need a cheap place to stay, go for it - and commute to the Golden Nugget for your fun.
  • Went just for the casino. It happens to be on an old 3 boat which is unique. The reson for the rating is that the place was a little run down compared to other casinos in the area. The floors are uneven. It almost seemed the laid carpet down on exsposed uneven planks of wood. The security guard checking ids was very up tight and came off as rude.
  • This place was dirty, dangerous, and unfriendly service!! It was our first time in Lake Charles and we were celebrating my fiance birthday weekend. We asked our hotel cabby to take us to one of the casinos in town and he suggested Isle of Capri because they had the cheaper Black Jack tables. We figured if we liked the place, we would just make hotel reservations to stay there the rest of the weekend. We decided to give it a try not knowing how fast we would regret it! Not only did it look old, but had a peculiar smell of smoke. After a while of being in the casino, it begins to get more potent. Asked if they had a no smoking section or better ventilated area and someone suggested the bottom floor of the casino. It's just as bad as the other 2 floors, (there's 3 floors to this place). There was only 1 Black Jack table at $5 and of course it was always packed. All the other tables were higher. I don't know why they advertise $5 tables when it's just 1 table and not several tables as they make it seem? Entrance bathrooms were dirty and had no toilet paper in 3 of the stalls. Upon descending the escalator to the bottom floor, my dress gets caught on the last step and the escalator begins to eat it!!! Trying to hold on to my DRESS and my PREGNANT LIFE, I couldn't find the emergency button. Finally an employee of the casino shows up and instead of pressing the emergency off button, he stands there waiting for the rest of the people to finish coming down the escalator!!! After about what seemed to be 5min later and the last person who also happens to be an employee comes down the stairs, he finally decides to turn off the escalator when she's only 3 steps away from reaching the bottom. Neither one of them helped me pull my dress out, some other employee came to my rescue. After pulling out 1ft 1/2 of my dress from the escalator, not only was it ruined with grease stripes, but it had managed to tear it in several places. :( I went to inform my fiance that I was going to search 4 a manager about the incident. Manager referred me to security. Mr. Sidney who seemed to be head of Security took pics and wrote a report. When I requested a copy of the video, he stated that his Risk Manager Adrian Taylor was not in and she would call me on Monday, July 4th, (this all happened Friday night July 1st), so I can discuss the incident with her and request a copy of the video. It's August 3rd and they have yet to contact me!! Anyway, after filing the report we decided to get a bite to eat at the restaurant they have there so I could calm down, because I was all shaken up and mortified by what had just happened. It took them 30min to get my nachos and 45min for my fiance to get his Philly cheese steak. Of course we complained to the manager and she stated that we were even lucky to have gotten our order correct because she was short on staff and things like this happen. Never offered an apology, nor a discount nor a refund for such a wait. This whole incident and first time experience was a living hell!! The next day we decided to go to The Golden Nugget and it was 10x better. Not only was it cleaner, friendlier, and safer, we also won $1,000 playing the slot machines.
