  • Great visit with family. It takes about 90 min to see all. I do agree with others who say that some animals do not have enough room to run and all but after all since they live in captivity, I think they are no longer wild animals since they lost all their hunting skills so maybe it's not so bad for them?? Anyway, great price it does get filled on weekends. Decent value for the price. Enjoy!!
  • I've been to a number of zoos, large and small, and this one is excellent. It's small and privately-owned so keep that in mind. The price was reasonable and the variety of animals impressive for a small park. It's was a rainy and cool day so most of the animals were out and they seemed content. The staff was very friendly and willing to chat, I just wish they were a little more knowledgeable about species facts.
  • I have been visiting this wildlife park with my family for 4 years now. The care and love these animals receive are second to none. I am deeply disturbed at how some people who know nothing about animals try to attack this business. If you have questions or concerns, make them known to the keepers there or the owners. I have read the posts regarding rats too and yes... an outdoor wildlife park that has open feed areas for their animals does attract rodents. But, due to the nature of the business I would doubt that poison would be a good option for removing them. As far as the nasty attacks recently on this business by one uneducated visitor who took it upon herself to decide how each animal is feeling and that animals were sick when they were exhibiting normal behavior....retreating to a virtual presence online to attack a business while you did not spend 5 minutes to do it in person is cowardice. I would recommend this business to anyone interested in getting up close and personal with some amazing animals. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and take the time to answer any questions you have if you ask. While I realize that zoos and wildlife parks are not for everyone, a small private park that dedicates its resources to providing a forever home to many animals (some injured or abandoned) is truly a gem.
  • Wife and I visited the park while on a weekend getaway nearby. We were highly disappointed and left the park feeling very sad for the animals because it was evident they're not well taken care of and their enclosures are small and mediocre at best. The lion enclosure appears completely unsafe considering there isn't a top and the fence is about 15' high with trees inside that one of them could climb and easily get out. It appeared as though nearly all of the animals were sedated since they were all sleeping the entire time. I wouldn't suggest this park to anyone and think it should be closed permanently or taken over by someone who knows how to properly take care of exotic animals. Very sad and unsafe situation going on at Claws and Paws.
  • Had a blast with our 2yr old son. We enjoyed every part from the howling monkey to the lazy bear. The deer that you can feed by hand to the lions you don't want to touch. Reasonable price considering you could easily spent 3 hours enjoying the animals not to mention other activities like the dino dig and Q&A with the staff.
