  • Do this, and take the 10-minute tour. This site really gives some excellent insight to a part of US history that is little-known, but so very important. The house is full of artifacts that are very in...  more »
  • History is wonderful, but the real history is the docent, Martha, who grew up in Lahaina and whose family has deep ties to the area. She was wonderful. The Baldwin family history was also very interes...  more »
  • We got a ticket for two Lahaina Museums, and one was Baldwin House. This home was built in 1835, and several years later Dr. Dwight Baldwin and his family moved in. Baldwin was a missionary, as well a...  more »

  • The oldest standing building on Maui. It's pretty neat. I highly recommend if you're into history. The staff is very knowledgeable.
  • Small historic museum. Frequent free Hawaiian music concerts in evening on the lawn outside the museum (I think every Thursday 6-8pm, but check their website for the schedule).
  • Great place to stop in and check out some local history. Get a passbook and it will give you access to 5 museums for $10, not a bad deal. There are always guides willing to answer any questions you may have. Great place to just sit on the grass and people watch.
  • Very informative about the history of Hawaii and great gift shop.
  • Interesting piece of Maui history but only the first floor is open to the public. Tickets here will also get you in to the Wo Hing museum down the street. Definitely ask for the tour as the house is not labeled in detail.
