The Festival of Arts has offered a breathtaking showcase for artists and art lovers for 80 years. The Festival’s prestigious juried art show includes a wide variety of media such as paintings, photography, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, handcrafted wood and furniture, ceramics, glass and more - all by 140 of Orange County’s finest artists.

The Pageant of the Masters is arguably one of the most unique productions in the entire world. On each evening of the Festival of Arts summer schedule, ticket holders are amazed and enchanted by ninety minutes of tableaux vivants ("living pictures"), incredibly faithful re-creations of classical and contemporary works of art, with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition for the Pageant of the Masters as the best presentation of its kind.

  • I can't believe I have never submitted a review the most unique production in SoCal, the U.S.A, perhaps even the world. Laguna Beach's Pageant of the Masters is an hour & a half of expertly re-creatio...  read more »

  • Highly recommended. Amazing performance. Tickets seem pricey, but it is top class. Take binoculars or rent them as you will want to look closely at the "players" to see how "painted" they look. We sat in row G which is pretty close to the stage and the binoculars were still necessary to discern the live actors.
  • If you haven't seen the Pageant of the Masters show, is one of the most fascinating live events you can see in southern California. As hard as it is to describe, just imagine seeing classic masterpieces being brought to life with a team of nearly 100 volunteers dressed and made up as the actual characters in the paintings. Guaranteed to make for a fun evening!
  • Even for people not particularly interested in art, the show is surprisingly fun They use the entire theater area so sitting in the very front isn't always the best option. However binoculars are a good idea to get a better look at things if you're sitting in the upper section. The intermission ran long and expect an ending closer to 11 than 10:30. Get there early to account for parking time. Even just entering one of the many parking lots for a weekend show took more than 30 minutes. The meters take a max of $10 bills, but also take credit cards.
  • Very nice venue.. The art is very diverse; artists are professional and friendly. The grounds are first class; like you are on a luxury cruise. You will really enjoy visiting here.
  • My gift to Self is to be at the Pageant on my 78th birthday! Love love love Pageant - for more reasons than easily expressed. If you cannot be there, make a donation of a ticket or two for others to enjoy. 80 years of beauty and love and fun and creativity! Thank you, Pageant -- see you again the end of August. Gentle as you go, Marny Vista
