  • Everything I wanted in camping!! Beautiful lake, beautiful views! Easy access! "Cliffs" you can jump off! The most bare-able outside restrooms I've ever been in! I can't wait to go back!
  • Nice, large, private and primitive camp sites for tenting. Many on cliffs above Lake Travis. Don't have info on RV sites to share but the park is huge so there are many options.
  • What a great park to explore! My husband and i loved exploring this park by car and hiking the cliff trails. We found a great spot to get in the lake for a bit with no one around. We normally dont swi...  read more »
  • I visit Highland Lakes Baptist Camp & Conference Center, which is located inside Pace Bend Park, a couple of times a year for a youth camp and a men's retreat with my church. The grounds are beautiful, and just this year, the water levels were high enough to enjoy the lake to the fullest (eh eh?). I've not personally been to the public boat ramps available throughout the parks, so I can't speak about those. This park is a nice spot to visit with family, which is not too far out of Austin (about 40 minutes west). Before turning off of Highway 71 onto Pace Bend Drive, there is a gas station/convenience store. Further down Pace Bend Drive, you'll find a few cafes and restaurants to for a bite to eat. All of these are not far from the park itself.
  • This is one of my favorite parks in the Austin area. Depending on the water level of Lake Travis the cliff jumping and deep water soloing (DWS) can be amazing. It's a great place to cool off during the hot summer. The primitive camping is also great since you can camp right next to the water. Most camping areas have charcoal grills and picnic tables.
  • This place is always a fun get away for family and friends on a weekend. Great for everything! Total camper's delight minus the rock climbing and water rafting.
  • Love it here great water front camping area an chill spot to go with or with out the fam or friends plus also great to take the boat out for a ride an go fish great big park to enjoy tho...hope you love it like i do.....PPL
  • My husband and I were seriously considering camping here. We've never been to Pace Bend Park before, so we wanted to check out the park/tent sites before we payed just to see what it looked like. We asked if there was any way if we could please drive back there for like ten minutes to check it out. The guy at the gate said we'd have to pay the $10 entrance fee, even if it was just to look for a few minutes. He then said that if we did decide to camp, there was NO WAY to upgrade to the $15 camping fee. So if we did decide to camp, we would have had to pay an additional $15, making it a total of $25 to camp there for ONE NIGHT. That is just ridiculous to me. They should offer a 15 min pass for free so you can check out the sites, or at least let you upgrade from day pass to camping by payin. The extra $5. They weren't very friendly or helpful. We're on our way to KRAUSE SPRINGS, which is beautiful and amazing and has very friendly people. :)
