  • Everything I wanted in camping!! Beautiful lake, beautiful views! Easy access! "Cliffs" you can jump off! The most bare-able outside restrooms I've ever been in! I can't wait to go back!  more »
  • I really enjoy this park you can swim, kayak, float around the lake and the water temperature is just right for a summer splash. If you are into rock climbing and jumping in the water from the cliffs this place is for you! I usually camp and both times people has been very loud so bring earplugs or call the park police that might help. Nature is nature but if I have to prevent you from anything is the ants.. bring a ant spray, make sure to protect everything tent and all and also put your trash bag up in a tree!
  • I was looking for a place to lay down for the evening and a Travis county parks employee suggested I check this park out. I was preferring to stay at a free site, but for $15 I gave it a shot. The park is big and on a weekday it was mostly unoccupied. There are a number of beautiful camping spots on the West side of the park with 15 - 30 foot overlooks of Lake Travis; some are suitable for jumping and swimming. Overall the park was a bit dirty following the Memorial Day weekend but I loved the night I spent with the folks at Pace Bend. Highly recommend.
  • Loved it there.. it's very beautiful and relaxing... No problem here what so ever.. pently of space to camp out.. big and little Cliff's to jump off of.. pet friendly
  • Wow. Simply wow. Please take your time to find a good camping spot. It'll make all the world of a difference during your stay here. I can't stress that enough. We got a spot right on the cliff. Talk about some memories cliff diving then climbing right back up only to meet the gorgeous Texas sunset and comfort of your campsite. The view is spectacular.
  • Excellent camping with beautiful scenery. Each lot is loosely defined and you may have to walk in 50 yards, other lots have picnic tables 5 feet from the parking spot. Hammock camping is tricky with the short trees but not impossible. Each spot has a fire ring and a lot have picnic tables. Early birds get the best spots. Firewood is not available at the office, bring some before hand and be prepared for fire bans during dry months. I've been several times and had good experiences and bad ones, mostly based on the maners of my neighbors. No need to reserve a spot, as I was told when I called to inquire.
