  • We started our visit with the 12 minute movie. Excellent film and the surprise ending was the movie screen moving toward the ceiling and revealing the view from the back of the visitor center. Very pi...  more »
  • In this park you can see the beautiful old oak with history perfectly preserved to our time, a wonderful place for walking

  • Lovely grounds with a chance to learn about the history of the Bayou Teche area and early settlers. We went as a family group with some visiting from several states.

  • I really enjoyed the lesson on Cajun and Creole history I received at this historic site. It has a creole plantation and an Arcadian cabin. The staff here were very helpful and coated me with bug spray. The experience was much better than I expected from a small site. They have majestic live oaks. I loved the Gabriel oak.
  • I had a delightful time here and was surprised to see what we had in our own back yard. I would recommend this as a place to check out if you are interested in Cajun and Creole history.
  • Great job on the Frisbee golf course!!
  • Went to take pics with our Camaro club and they let us know that just to be on grounds is $4 per person. They let us finish pic but watched to make sure we didn't walk around. Didn't see past parking lot so don't know about the rest
