  • Touring this battleship is a remarkable place to visit for young and old alike. There is so much history to view and it is so inspiring. However, this is not a place to tour for folks who have trouble...  more »
  • What a great day out with my son climbing around the Battleship Texas! Wasn't quite so much fun for my retired friend but he got about fairly well as he wasn't hurried or pressured to speed up at all....  more »
  • Honestly, I am not very into history; especially something relates to war. When I planned to go there, I only wanted to take a look and was uncertain if I would go up the battleship to take a tour. I ...  more »

  • This battleship was a great experience. The tour is self-guided, which was nice for our kids who wanted to run to see everything. There were very well put together rooms that were set up like they were when the ship was in use. It took us about an hour to see the ship.
  • I thought I was a proud Texan already... After visiting the USS Texas and learning so much about this Dreadnought Class Battleship and how it was the most powerful weapon in the world.... well, you can imagine my Texas pride is off the charts! This is a fantastic park to visit. You can feel the history flowing throughout the ship. It's utterly amazing.
  • This battleship is so interesting. I love how they have all the rooms staged to look like when the battle ship was in war.
  • I had the opportunity to take the Hard Hat tour and would recommend spending the extra money if you have the time. The docents who lead the tour are extremely informed and go above and beyond in sharing the history of the ship. Wear smart shoes, and pants that you don't mind getting dirty. Gloves would also be a plus. Do not go in the warm months, or go early in the morning.
  • Great place to take the kids and explore an historic ship. Take your time and look around. You will be suprised how big the ship really is.
