  • Plenty of parking since the site is coded indefinitely for restoration. Still a good photo opportunity from a distance and very close to the San Jacinto battlefield.

  • Was so glad we got to see it, but we were too late to tour it. It is sad to think she is leaving, she is a beautiful ship who has been through a lot.

  • I went right before they're planning to get it dry docked to be repaired. The ship is IMPRESSIVE even with it stripped due to repairs. There were too many people though. The event was pretty highly publicized as "the last weekend to see the ship before repairs" so that makes sense. The staff is highly knowledgeable and I enjoyed reading the plaques and seeing model rooms/set ups. The on deck guns were also pretty cool. This is definitely something for someone who loves history. There was a lot of parking but if you park far enough back, you'll have to do a lot of walking.
  • When this ship is opened back to the public, you must visit! Plans to spend the day because there is so much to see and you will have to climb stairs or ladders depending on where you decide to go onboard. There were some areas blocked off but for the most part, we explored a ton of this ship. This ship is an absolute monster that lives up to the dreadnought name and is the only surviving warship to have served in both world wars.
  • Had a chance to visit one last time before it was closed and moved. Such a great experience. All of the volunteers were very friendly.
  • Awesome to see in person. I'm sad the ship is closed but happy to hear it is being cleaned up. Things like this are important to see for younger generations. Great work!!
  • Last day open before it moved, I loved it; got to smell that ship smell again. 🥰 We all enjoyed thanks for what you guys did and do and look forward to visiting the new location and or project at this location.
