  • We played the north course and it was the most beautiful course I have ever played, it was more then what I could dream about playing there. Just to play that course was a dream come true. All golfers...  more »

  • Played on a Wednesday afternoon while on vacation. Played the South. Absolutely beautiful in excellent condition. 30 yard fairways, 3/4" first cut and 3" rough! Straight shots rewarded and the most penal rough I've ever played. Couple that with the length(we played the taupe tees) and it is the toughest course Ive ever played but also some of the most beautiful views. I loved every minute even when it was eating my lunch. Nice pro shop with to be expected prices. Greens were surprisingly slow(8-9) but I was told it kicks to 12 for tournaments and 14 for Opens. They rolled beautifully. Surprised that the practice area/driving range was not more in tune with the course. I played 3:10 twilight so I was happy with the $116 but next time around the $192 morning would not be out of the question as a non-resident. Pro shop, payment window and starter were pleasant and helpful but this is almost always luck of the draw. If you play and you're visiting the area...don't miss it! It is full of great shots, views and memories. If you live there, I'd play it at much as I could. 2021 US Open site and recently named 17th toughest course in America by Golf Digest. No surprise here.
  • My favorite use of taxpayer dollars in SD. This place is the home of the 2021 US Open. The North course has been renovated nicely, but beware of the rough out here. The course are an international tourist draw. Make sure to show up 30 minutes early to check in. I suggest you walk the course if you can to take in all of the amazing views of La Jolla.
  • Course has great views. Greens and fairways in great shape. For $320 you'd think carts and range balls were included. I hate being nickel and dimed. We were told it would be close to a 5 hour round (ugh). No wonder when there was a walking 5 some in front of us. It does not live up to the hype!
  • Incredible golf course in great shape. Worth every penny. An incredible experience. Will definitely be back.
  • Played South a week ago. Fantastistic course. The club could improve when it comes to give single player (like me) better information. Went up to the range 2 times without a chance to hit a single ball because I was called down to the starter, once to pay green fee and 3 minutes later to tee up, though I've been told I've got tee time 45 minutes later. Confusing and a bit stressful. However, the course was a 5-star experience!
