Quiet, excellent hike up & down so be prepared to work to relax. Favorite beach spot in all of SD so far. Parking is difficult & crowded. Friendly open people w/o gawkers & creepy feeling.
My family from Texas decided to tandem paraglide and loved it. Even the little 6 year old went on his own. Each instructor (not sure what their title was) was great and made the ride enjoyable.
Went on an awesome tandem paragliding trip here and it was great! Instructor was super nice and really enjoyed the views of the beach and cruising around in the sky. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
We were driving on the 56 going west when I noticed the sun about to set and the rays peeking through the clouds...I told my husband to drive towards Torrey pines state reserve to catch the sunset...there wasn't any parking but he knew of this little place called the Glider Port. We drove through the bumpy dirt field and ended at the most beautiful place to watch the sunset...it really was heaven on earth...every part of it...
