  • I know there are a lot of kayak tour choices around this area but choose this place!!! Our instructors, Kate and Arron, were the best! This was our first time kayaking and we were pretty nervous. They were very clear on safety and procedure and continuously walked us through what we needed to do next. They were both very knowledgeable about the area and gave us the history and told us where the best places to see wildlife would be. They were both joking around with the group whole time. The cave experience itself is based on the conditions of the ocean that day. The day we went out was low tide and somewhat rough waters so we weren't able to spend a whole lot of time in the cave but it was still very cool being inside. Unfortunately, while we were leaving the cave a huge wave hit us and we capsized. Erin was immediately next to us helping flip the kayak back over and pulling us back up. At no point did myself or my partner feel like we were in danger. After we got back to shore everyone checked in with us to make sure we were okay. It was a cold and wet walk back to the shop but luckily their free lockers ensured I had a change of dry clothing. I honestly believe if we had gone with a different company we would not have had as much fun as we did. Thank you again Arron and Kate, we hope to make it back soon!
  • Stop researching, I did it for you, BOOK HERE. My son and I had the best time kayaking! We didn’t go in the caves but it was still totally worth it and so much fun! Everybody at this place was so helpful and welcoming. Cyril (I probably messed that spelling up hardcore) was an amazing guide and we were super lucky to have him to ourselves. If you read this, thanks for showing us the rope swing (and everything else). I went on it the next day and it was super awesome, biffed kind of hard but we went snorkeling after to rinse off the mud haha!
  • My husband and I were honeymooning in San Diego and kayaking in La Jolla was top of the list for us. Our experience with La Jolla Sea Cave Kayaks was excellent, from start to finish. The folks at the shop were helpful, and our guides made the trip so memorable. It was the highlight of our vacation, and we can't wait to come back!
  • Had a fantastic time Sunday with Christian and Quincy! The weather was cold, windy and the surf was big. But the guides were funny and informative and very friendly. We got soaked to the skin but it was so much fun! We will definitely do it again! Sorry...no pics... the guides suggested that, because of the surf conditions, our phones would probably end up at the bottom of the ocean!
  • My tour of the sea caves was great! The staff were very helpful when it came to safety, proper fitment of gear, and any questions or concerns we had. We had a safety meeting with our tour guides on the beach before setting out. There are also staff to help you get into the kayak and away from the shore. The tour itself was great. I was able to see a good bit of wildlife, kelp, and a close look at the caves. One of which you can go into with their help if you want. I never felt unsafe during the entire tour. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a fun tour along the coast line.
