  • Great place to visit and take a nice walk. Interesting things to see and a great gift shop if your lo for unique gifts.
  • A very moving experience. The buildings and the surroundings are stunning. Try to take in the tour if you can, It doesn't take very long, but is very informative and interesting.
  • It's very peaceful there. You can have a nice hike or use their golf car services. You don't have to be a Catholic to appreciate the location and beauty of whole set up.
  • Whatever I write about this wonderful place can not do it any worthy justice. All I can say is that if you find yourself nearby or feel a desire to make a pilgrimage to this it! You will most certainly find your Blessed Mother waiting for you there, and the beauty of this place only serves to remind you of her unyielding love for you! Jesus humbled himself and desired to dwell in the Virgin's womb, and how great are the riches for us who choose to humble ourselves and find refuge within the confines of this same Woman, Our Mother.
  • Apparently God and Our Lady of Guadalupe do not like dogs!!! Or dog lovers. Brought my family who were visiting to the Shrine today with our family pet terrior dog. Along our walk up to the shrine we met many other family's who stopped and commented on how lovely our little dog was. Obviously we had no intention of bringing our dog into the actual church and I handed over my dog to my husband so I could go in with my relations. Just as I turned to go in a lady driving a cart started to shout at me was this my dog, in front of an audience of people outside the church. I, not comfortable with all the stares approached the lady in the cart and said yes. The lady went on to say unless my dog was a service dog she was not allowed on the grounds. My husband asked where in fact was there a sign to indicate this. There is none!!!! But it is on a 8 by 11 printed piece of paper in the bottom corner in the window of the main entrance which is covered by a plant!!!!!!! Yeah not the Christian experience I was expecting
  • The last 2 years I have done a pilgrimage to the main 3 shrines in Wisconsin. I traveled from Our Lady of Good Help in Green Bay, to Holy Hill in Hubertus, and then to Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse. I love all 3 shrines and cannot emphasize how wonderful they all are.
  • We went on a family vacation and decided we wanted to take our children on a little pilgrimage and found this shrine close by to us. I never imagined that it was going to be so beautiful. The grounds and church was breathtaking and every detail had such meaning. I loved the path up to the church. It felt like a true pilgrimage. We highly recommend visiting this shrine. It is such a gem.
  • It was so beautiful from the road that we couldn't pass it up. We needed to kill a little time and this seemed to be a fair enough option. We quickly learned that it was more of a workout than we had anticipated. It wasn't horrible, but a bit of a hike when you're in flip-flops. Not being of the christian faith, this wasn't a spiritual achievement. Nonetheless, it was definitely worth a look.
