  • Kure Beach Pier was fun and right near our hotel, the Sand Dunes. Lots of people fishing off of it. Great boardwalk and nice wooden swings overlooking the ocean. Freddie's Italian restaurant was amazi...  more »
  • After a full meal, this is a great place to walk off the over-eating feeling. The breeze is warm and it is very pretty. Interesting fact: walking from the store to the end 3 times is a mile. Plenty of...  more »

  • This is my favorite beach in the Wilmington area; I feel like it isn't quite as busy as some of the other options. There's easy parking at the pier and several beach access lots nearby, as well as a public bathroom you can change at. Lots of restaurants in the area, and cute swings along the boardwalk to watch the water.
  • It's a great beach to go to still. Most of the N.C. beaches have become commercialize. Get to know the people who live in Kure Beach you find them to be great people to know! Great hotels, restaurants and the beach you can find sand to though a blanket and not have someone right on top of you.
  • The employees/owner was more than happy to accommodate our large group to give a GREAT send-off of a lost friend. Thank you very much. It meant a lot to his family.
  • Awesome place to park your vehicle right on the beach and party. It's $30 per vehicle, SUV and 4X4 only. No cars or van that means if you try to take these vehicles in and get stuck it will cost you $200 to $300 to have it tow out per pay agent.
  • Great opportunity to fish here. If you're not experienced you just simply ask staff at the pier store or any of the fishers out on the pier. The store sells some inexpensive rod & reel combos and 24 hour fishing licenses.
