  • The Winery is located further from the Kula. Has provided to Maui this time I went for the first time. Acre lots and buildings, there are tours of about 30 minutes. Building in the tasting, photos and a history of Maui. Knowing that a look had a lot of walls of volcanic rock on the road, so long ago built the fortress. Cannon trail. In tasting could feel free to sample wine. Can save so far without considerable amount of effort was Maui. It was a hearty American-style. Thanks to the helpful 2 tablespoons undrinkable. Tasted like a Maui pineapple wine is really pineapple aroma is rich and enjoyed. After the tasting's building tours of the grounds. Buildings were used in the prison, I feel the history. Garden is beautifully maintained and the trees and flowers were beautiful. I thought if I have time next time slowly tour also want to join. Guests can enjoy a natural alone in people who drink wine but covers a large area to explore! Further away than the winery makes a winding narrow streets, have impressive panoramic view-you can style cars, Makena. Your time if you'd drive!

  • Maui Wine is a step up from the former winery. For one, their wines are much better! And they're growing more varietals. Enjoy a tasting then get a few for the trip home...before wandering out on the ...  more »

  • This can be a great stop if you are traveling Hana Highway from the opposite end or all the way around, though not the early birds. They open at 10. The entire experience is way above the average expectations for a wine establishment. Very nice place with free parking, well-manicured grounds, great views, free tastings and super friendly staff. We tasted 4 wines and didn’t find any we’d like to take back with us. One would expect the south-west slopes of Haleakala with lots of sunshine and controlled irrigation to be an ideal environment for growing great wine, but obviously, they are other variables.
  • Lovely free tasting where you get to pick the wines from their tasting list. I had previously tried their semi-sec pineapple wine and didn't like it much but I was able to try their sweeter pineapple wine and found it much more to my taste. The grounds were nice and relaxing as well. Drive wasn't too bad as long as you are hanging out near Paia as well. Would be an excellent side-trip on the way back from a morning/early afternoon at the Haleakala summit.
  • Made a special trip out to the winery with a friend today. With great anticipation we went in to test the wine....stood at counter...no one paid me any attention. Looked around the room a bit. Tried standing at another part of the counter...no one paid me any attention. Finally got the eye of the woman behind the counter and after I said "I'd like to taste some wine" she gave me the listing. My friend joined me. Again...we stood and stood and stood watching as others were served and we were ignored. We eventually left with only a bitter taste in our mouths.
  • We have visited this winery twice. Great wines and great customer service! We had a case shipped home this time for a very reasonable price.
  • We got here RIGHT as they were closing for the day, and after a pot of hiking, we really needed a drink!! The lady who helped us was incredibly kind and gracious. The tasting is free, and the wines are really fantastic. We enjoyed the unique pineapple infused wines and even brought a few home! The tasting room is gorgeous and they have a lot of great little gifts (some are locally sourced) in their giftshop.
