  • Lots of fun and a real workout on the tree based elements for you to conquer, and a few ziplines thrown in too.
  • Local Belle Barre Yoga instructors teach SUP yoga at Ijams - you can sign up for the classes online. Classes are beginner-friendly and the instructors are great and do not make you feel like a newbie....  more »
  • It was a bit slippery but totally worth it. The snow just added to the gorgeous landscape and views. Definitely worth a trip. The river boardwalk is very beautiful.

  • Beautiful park, clean facilities. Not sure if I was there on a bad day for the staff, but some of them seemed to have an attitude? Elitist almost. I don't know, maybe they just got bad news or something. The lady that registered us for the ropes course was super friendly and fun, can't say the same about the majority of others. Beyond that, for hiking and family fun, you can't beat it.
  • A DESTINATION & A STARTING POINT For folks in west Knoxville who are looking for an urban adventure, just hop on your bicycle and ride the greenway from Earth Fare all the way to Ijams. It's about 25 miles round trip, but a delightful one. Once there, you can kayak in a quarry nearby, ride mountain bike trails for miles and miles, or stroll on the nature center's pleasant paths . . . New to me there is Jo's Grove, a natural playscape with a little house, chimes, shelters made of sticks, blackboards to draw on, and brightly colored chairs. Perfect for toddlers and younger.
  • An impressive nature trail system about 5 minutes from downtown Knoxville. Very well-kept. Several miles of walking trails and stunning views of the Tennessee River. Informative signage and a great place to swim at Meads Quarry. Very quiet for being so near the city. They have treetop adventures, but we are saving that for next time. An instant favorite place for me and my family.
  • This is a great nature center located in the heart of the city. They are constantly expanding their trails and programs and there is always something new to do there. The trails are well maintained, fun, and take a relatively short amount of time to complete. There is a learning center and this area is great for children, adults, and cyclists alike.
  • Excellent retreat from the City, discover wooded trails filled with wildflowers and local flora & fauna
