  • An impressive nature trail system about 5 minutes from downtown Knoxville. Very well-kept. Several miles of walking trails and stunning views of the Tennessee River. Informative signage and a great place to swim at Meads Quarry. Very quiet for being so near the city. They have treetop adventures, but we are saving that for next time. An instant favorite place for me and my family.
  • A DESTINATION & A STARTING POINT For folks in west Knoxville who are looking for an urban adventure, just hop on your bicycle and ride the greenway from Earth Fare all the way to Ijams. It's about 25 miles round trip, but a delightful one. Once there, you can kayak in a quarry nearby, ride mountain bike trails for miles and miles, or stroll on the nature center's pleasant paths . . .
  • We hiked through the nature center for a few hours one day, then tried out the Navitat ropes course and ziplining the next day. The trails near the quarry could be marked better but the grounds are beautiful. Seem to be a lot of smaller trails not on the map. It ended up being bigger than we expexted but it was beautiful. The ropes course was a ton of fun with courses ranging from easy (very easy) to difficult (a super tough but fun challenge). The employees were friendly and helpful, we had a really great time. Most zipline courses we've seen tend to clear out the surrounding trees, etc. Navitat built the courses around existing trees so you get a great chance to see birds and enjoy the peacefulness of it all. Very happy we went, it's well worth the money.
  • This is a great nature center located in the heart of the city. They are constantly expanding their trails and programs and there is always something new to do there. The trails are well maintained, fun, and take a relatively short amount of time to complete. There is a learning center and this area is great for children, adults, and cyclists alike.
  • Very impressive nature center in the middle of Knoxville. There is a nice nature walk by the river. It is well kept and the trails are clear and mostly paved. It make a very easy introductory walk for young children that have a budding interest in nature.
