  • This has to be one of the best secrets that Indiana has to offer. This is basically a gym, free and open to the public, which has been preserved to look as it did during the filming of the 1980's movi...  more »
  • Just a great time with a nice gentleman guide. Learned a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff from the movie + history of the gym. Our grandson, age 9, was thrilled to shoot baskets. Well worth a short de...  more »
  • I remember playing optimist basketball games here as a child, and running around the historic halls and classrooms. Tours are available and the community takes excellent care of it. This is a must see...  more »

  • Really neat visit, I'm so glad I stopped. The gym looks exactly like it does in the movie and was really cool to see. The gentleman who gave me a tour was lovely and had so many cool stories and facts about the history of both the building and the film. I'd definitely bring someone back here to show them, wonderful stop if you're driving through Knightstown.
  • Absolutely had a wonderful stop at the Hoosier Gym! Tour guide gave a wonderful little tour, showed us everything plus more! We learned more info about shooting the movie than we knew before so that was awesome! Took some iconic pictures & was able to shoot hoops! A must stop!
  • Great experience. The man working was very informative and a pleasure to talk to
  • Literally cried as we walked on the court for the first time. A must see for any basketball enthusiast!
  • I stopped by today 6-15-16. It was open gym. The attendant said grab a ball off the rack and shoot some baskets if you want. I shot around for a few and took a look at the locker room. I time capsule of small town basketball of the 30s 40s and 50s that needs to be preserved. I picked up a t shirt on my way out.
