Where to stay in Kissimmee

Most visitors to Kissimmee end up staying near the area's popular theme parkswhile on holiday, though hotel prices generally decrease the farther away from those attractions you stay. If you plan a multi-day stay in the area, browse the city's vacation homes, which often provide a much better value for multiple rooms than the area's luxury resorts. You can choose from over 15,000 short-term rentals in Kissimmee alone, offering nearly 60,000 rooms. To stay near the theme parks without breaking the bank, consider one of the city's cozy motels or economy hotels.

  • I spent a morning hiking in the Disney Wilderness Preserve. The preserve is operated and managed by the Nature Conservatory. The name can be misleading, as Walt Disney World doesn't own the land anymo...  more »
  • I went alone and enjoyed the quiet peaceful environment. I did not get to see much wildlife like i thought i would. I will give it another try though.  more »

  • I took the yellow trail and it was peaceful and secluded. I didn't see anyone else! There were benches on the way to sit and relax. Didn't see any wildlife but overall a well maintained park with beautiful open spaces.
  • If you wish to truly understand the word "quiet" come walk this trail. It is among the last completely undeveloped lakes in Central Florida. We come several times a year just to get away from all the hustle of civilized life. Take a few minutes and walk in the quiet. You will be glad you did.
  • The trail can be long if you take the yellow loop. It's rough cut compared to the other two trails, but still very enjoyable. Not alot of shade though. Water is a must bring. Parts can also get kinda wet and muddy, just as a heads up.
  • Excellent, large wilderness area, good walking trails and loads of wildlife to see.
